Lmao, massive woman moment. Likes being in a relationship with the struggling (read: failed) actor because it probably felt like she could control the situation or had greater value herself. Now the man is getting a crumb of what every “actor” craves: attention! Time to shit-test him and ask him to give all that up for the ~relationship~. Oh, he can’t/won’t do that? He changed! His fault! Ree!

Those poor kids. Mom seemingly has a not-great relationship with their actual father, and now has chased off The Dad Who Stepped Up. Sad, many such cases.

On S2, I think Sam pointed out his voice fluctuations and asked him if he was doing it as a bit or what his deal was. Jimmy claims his voice fluctuates due to something to do with his trauma. It just made him look insecure and a little manipulative. Deep voice with men he wants to come across as "manlier" to, higher-pitched nasally voice when he wants to seem non-threatening (or maybe "sweet") to women. The call-out clip is on one of the episodes, maybe the second or third episode.
