Sam's take that the entire point of Lynch's art is simply about confusing the audience isn't true. There is a ton of confusing weird shit in his stuff like in twin peaks but there is a point to it. In Twin Peaks it's telling the story of Laura Palmers murder and building a world around that story. It's about the mystery. It's not solely just weird for the sake of weird that's a retarded take.

All of his movies have phenomenal cinematography, lighting, sound design, acting, set design, and music. Sam and Jet both just got LYNCHED. Love these. The camera dramatically panning over to Jon doing pushups in the rain is one of those moments from Fishtank that could never in a million years be scripted. Just pure organic comedy gold. So many shots from season 2 and season 2.5 are Lynchian too.

the most lynchian fishtank era was the end of S2 just before the swamp olympics with the chickens, frank dressed as a farmer, sand everywhere and the house looking like a war zone, some absolutely insane screenshots from that era, specially from the POV cameras that are almost hard to believe they didn't come from a movie
