Having witnessed the epic 5-year war of fodlan discourse that, when it wasn't in a bad faith self-insertion disguise to bitch about irl politics, was a whole lot of not reading the whole (contradictory) story or misunderstanding the most basic of basic story and character beats, there are easy jokes to be made about these sorts needing all the help they can get with the reading and comprehension process. There's a quote from the director of Parasite that goes "Once you overcome the 1-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films," and there's certainly comparisons to be made between that and having to suffer the pretentious theater kid antics of some self-loathing quirk chungus Californian dub voice talent. That's not to say that all dubs or localizations are worthless bastardizations by any means
(for frame of reference about how much of an autistic stick in the mud I am about that stuff, I felt even Unicorn Overlord's was pretty heavy-handed and not to my taste), but I have no sympathy for any,

GORILLA NIGGER being gatekept by a 1-inch tall barrier in an audiovisual medium where you are in complete control of the pace outside of cutscenes. That's a good gate to have, and Fire Emblem cutscenes aren't complicated.
