She has decent bases and the thief's growth rates are actually very good.Maybe I got RNG blessed, but she has some of the highest STR, SPD, and DEX stats out of anyone in my army right now. You pair her with Marth, unlock all the +Avoid skills, upgrade her knives to like +3, and park her ass on a bush and she's basically unstoppable for me. We'll see if that remains the same Late game, but she's an absolute work horse for me in terms of dodge tanking and damage output.
This might explain it, I don't turtle pretty much ever unless I have no choice so Yunaka can rarely just park because I'm too busy pushing forward with everyone else and killing whatever gets in my way. I'm the type who pretty much always moves forward as opposed to just baiting enemies. Plus to me her strength is just whatever. Unless she's hitting things with frail defense she doesn't do very impressive damage even if she doubles just about everything. I also gave the energy drop to Chloe because Chloe can fly and use that offense easier then Yunaka.Maybe I got RNG blessed, but she has some of the highest STR, SPD, and DEX stats out of anyone in my army right now. Far less tedious then 3H, still has some tedium. Far more tolerable if all you want is combat and the real gameplay, the more social interaction stuff is pretty weak and it isn't voiced like 3H was for some reason. In terms of looks, depends on what you want. Engage's is like a fantasy resort, it even has a literal pool at the center. Its nice if you like that look, but I can see people not being into it. Luckily all the important stuff is pretty close by and the running speed is pretty fast alongside decent fast travel. How is the hub world?
He kind of ignores some of the obvious stuff, partially because he's colorblind. But in that case, it's technically an bad move from himI've been watching Mangs stream the game while I work and holy shit is he normally THIS bad at FE? Any other streamers you guys recommend? Currently I like watching Mekkah and Choops.
Well, for one, nearly everything where you wanted to go is right next to you whenever you go there. Other than that, it's more of an "form over function" kind of deal and nearly everything that if offers isn't essential for the game. How is the hub world?
If you want to see more big brain gameplay, you might enjoy Excelblem. He's pretty much a tryhard FE player, he streamed his entire maddening mode run a few days ago and he made a video summing up his thoughts on the game. His story take I think is probably too generous, but he is pretty good at the game so for gameplay purposes I'd hear him out.I've been watching Mangs stream the game while I work and holy shit is he normally THIS bad at FE? Looks like shit never changes with himAny extremely late (chapter 25 of 26) example of what Maddening enemy phases are capable of for those interested in seeing how that looks

Swordmasters seem a little bit on the trash side unless you use Lyn's whole speed gimmick where you can blitz someone down without taking a counter which is sometimes quite useful as enemies hurt quite a bit. Without it I don't really see much point in them because sword locked is still the worst weapon to be locked into of the main three.Been a little occupied but I just got done with chapter 15 and felt like dumping some of my impressions here since I'm having way more fun with the game than expected
-By now I like more characters than I thought I would when so many designs put me off- pre-release. There are several duds but still enough solid designs IMO
-Seth and Titania must've given the devs PTSD, they really wanted Vander to fall off and I think they even overdid it with him.
-I'm not done with the game but so far the map design blows 3ds Emblem (excluding Conquest) and Three Houses out of the water. I hope they'll use a bit more different objectives but so far its good stuff.
-Chloe is the best peg knight I've had since PoR Marcia, she levels like a monster. Meanwhile I'm desperately trying to keep Lapis usable. Swordmasters seem pretty underwhelming here, excluding Kagetsu who has ridiculous stats for some reason.
-The avatar circljerk gets grating but Alear is significantly more tolerable than Corrin.
-Supports are okay, a few forced quirks on some characters but nothing too bad IMO.
-I've heard the story being described as "bad" or a "cringefest" but so far I think its just really dull. Far down there among FE stories though.
-Marth showing up or being put on a pedestal always feels like such a "please clap" moment. I get he's the first lord but its also so obviously the only reason he gets this treatment.
-I'm blown away by how good knights are in this game. They're also obnoxious as enemies, I've never been this cautious about having mages or armor effective weaponry around.
-Thieves are really fun too and I despised using them in the GBA entries.
-Recruitments made a good first impression with Jean but the devs quickly gave up it seems. I wasn't expecting Stefan or Xavier level bullshit but too many of them just auto join. I think Jean and Jade are the only ones you actually have to talk to unless I'm forgetting someone.
Swords are capable of breaking axes at least, and axe enemies are pretty dangerous as one stray hit from a big dumb axe user can brutally hurt most units and they break lances in a game where you get quite a few lance focused characters. I've quite enjoyed having swords around in this game because axes are reasonably threatening, just the dedicated sword class is kind of eh. Swords are also nice for low BLD characters to have an effective answer to faster enemies.@The Zekenator Yeah, I've been experimenting with Lyn's effect to fish for Wo Dao crits before the enemy can counter attack but to lacking success. I'll probably class change her into a Hero, even if she'll be a weaker Diamant.
I agree on the classes, this is maybe be the most balanced they have felt yet. Swords are just a little undertuned, I wish they brought the Wind Edges from Radiant Dawn back for a physical 1-2 range sword.
Depends on what you're looking for. Some games are good for autismo strategists who want to be challenged to have fun, some are better for people who like to grind and make overpowered guys who shitstomp the entire game with stupid skill combos, some demand a very good plot with their anime chess game, and someone may want all of that to be worth playing.Which title is the best one to cut my teeth on, and which titles are the ones to avoid at all costs?
I wrapped up Triangle Strategy and Tactics Ogre earlier this year, I want the single most melodramatic, overwrought, operatic story the series has to offer. Difficulty or complexity doesn't matter.Depends on what you're looking for. Fire Emblem has a core gameplay idea that is fairly consistent, but how it executes that and how good the writing is varies wildly from pretty good-ish and just terrible riff worthy trash. It is kind of like asking which Final Fantasy is the best and you get five different answers. Plus some games are a pain to play, so emulation tolerance is a thing for some suggestions as I would never recommend a sane person to play Ike's games on actual hardware.
The only one's I'd avoid is probably the really old games that have been remade like the very three games and Fates: Revelation unless you want to riff on the plot bad enough.
Genealogy of the Holy War. Easy. You'll have to get a snes emulator up and running and track down an english patch. Naga's the best patch out right now.I wrapped up Triangle Strategy and Tactics Ogre earlier this year, I want the single most melodramatic, overwrought, operatic story the series has to offer. I got three recommendations then (well more like two because two of them are paired).I wrapped up Triangle Strategy and Tactics Ogre earlier this year, I want the single most melodramatic, overwrought, operatic story the series has to offer. Difficulty or complexity doesn't matter.
Celica's route in Shadows of Valentia fairly melodramatic. I would say Conquest, but I keep getting 2edgy4you vibes from the plot.I wrapped up Triangle Strategy and Tactics Ogre earlier this year, I want the single most melodramatic, overwrought, operatic story the series has to offer.
