He's really running out of anything with inherit value, isn't he? Soon he will be trying to sell literal garbage from his trash can. He should sell some of his frozen navy samples from Barb's freezer full of come.

Sadly, I feel like Chris might have eaten the Navy in order to have enough strength to jack off for more. :(

This is hillarious, Chris sounds like a guy who was just caught having an affair, and he tries to explain it to his wife by saying, "Oh honey, you're going to laugh after this story is over, but I was down by the bay watching raccoons fight when all of a sudden....."

A lot of people aren't particularly good at saving money. Even non-idiots. People drive for miles in a non-fuel efficient vehicle and shell out for tolls and parking to save a few bucks on a purchase. I have a friend who conscientiously saves money each month while paying the minimums on her debt, which has a much higher interest rate than her savings.

My point is that we can be way too nitpicky about Chris spending. Does he spend way too much on toys? Yes. Is Blue Apron a bad idea for someone in his financial state? Yes. But if he spends $7 on the ingredients for a meal when he could have had a similar meal for $5, criticizing him seems really silly.

Oh certainly. I wasn't trying to come off as nitpicky. More of an idea of what Chris spends his money on regarding food. I think he sticks to fish and chicken mainly.

If Chris trusted someone who he definitely shouldn't have trusted, I'm gonna be angry. The thought of some ween rubbing Chris's last few shekels together while laughing about how he was the one responsible for the defeat of the Great Chris Chan makes me sick to my stomach. It'd be better if this blunder is actually 100% on Chris

I don't know, I feel Chris is telling the truth here, otherwise, someone would have gotten a different story out of him by now.

I wish he would just say what it is happened already!
Chris keeps saying that he's in the worst financial situation, that someone took advantage of him, that it's not his fault... but he refuses to just outright say what it is that's bothering him.
He's desperate for money, but not desperate enough to spill the beans, so instead he just expects people to blindly donate to him because they just have to trust him. This has lead to the majority of people assuming that he just spends all his money on Lego, if he would just say then he could put an end to these rumourss and maybe even convince some people to take pity and donate.
And he says it's not his fault, so it's not like it'll be embarrassing for him to admit what happened.

Hopefully he will actually explain what happened at some point, until then my best guess is that Barb fucked up, maybe she has a gambling problem... and she's been screeching at Chris and manipulating him to beg for money and sell his toys. Do that thing he does to magically spawn money from the internets, but also tells at him to keep her gambling addiction a secret.

I agree it must be something weirdly embarrassing to him. Odd considering considering we've seen Chris's taint more than our own, but some shit does seem to shame him. Like legal problems or being considered lower functioning.

One of his headmates probably convinced him to transfer all his money to the Second Bank of CWCville, before he realized there was only one bank in CWCville. :stupid:
That's not even an out of the question theory.
"Hmm.. Yeah.. But I have a deposit slip right here.." *pulls out handmade Pokemon card*

Same. Unless it's a case that they need to stay quiet for legal reasons, folks who says 'I'll tell you when the time is right/I'll tell you later' always feels like they're buying time to make up a feasible story.
I seriously doubt Chris doing anything illegal would require some non-disclosure, he's not sleeping with Trump. If Chris is shy about soliciting penis at a truck stop, then it's one of the least embarrassing things I think he's done.

I agree it must be something weirdly embarrassing to him..

I think it's just a loan issue that he doesn't understand at all save for what Barb tells him. He's not talking about it because he doesn't really understand it. He's trying to piece together a coherent story from Barb but all she's talking about is close dealing and rip-offs and other details that go over his head. When the story comes out it'll just be that the other party is "unfair."

Chris DOES tend to lump anyone that doesn't give him the maximum amount of slack as "trolls". Law enforcement, banks, store managers, college professors, college deans..

Speak for yourself.

On a serious note, things Chris tends to find not embarrassing, would be pretty humiliating to the average person. This is just a thought but I wonder if this is a paradoxical thing where when/if the true story does come out about all this, the situation will portray him in a sympathetic light and it won't seem that embarrassing to us.

A typical person falling for a scam or being cheated out of money can be embarrassing, but if you look at it as, "this is Chris"... The standards for embarrassment from the outside looking in are quite different.

Like I said, just a thought. Obviously it's more likely he just wired 1k to a ween posing as Sonichu or another fictional character. Or fake brony-con tickets. Who the fuck knows at this point.

Are you new to Chris Chan??? One of thing everyone here knows is that nothing is ever Chris fault, and if it is, he will quickly divert the story into a lie to make him seem like the innocent one.

It's really hard to feel bad for Chris when he's tricked, mainly because it's both really easy to do and he's been caught trying to con people several times.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was sold fake con tickets by someone claiming to be Tara Strong wanting to blow him.
