EDIT: Regarding to AV talk: Every group I tanked through wiped first room. Why? Because when I pull to the left alcove healer/ranged wants to stand IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GODDAMN ROOM AND AGGRO EVERYTHING. I definitely have room for improvement but goddamn guys...

Back in ARR days I'd have paid to get past Titan. I was stuck there for over a week because back then everyone would ignore the gaols and we'd wipe from lack of damage. Even when explained clearly bo one would listen.

Don't be, even I got my start in ARR 2.0 or 2.1 on busted PS3 rates. It had it's moments, but wasn't too bad.

Naah I don't mind him either. His reaction video to HWNDU popped up on my feed one day and I watched it because I was bored and drunk. He had some pretty good takes for a faggot. No pearl clutching at /pol/ being /pol/ and actually thought Shia getting messed with was hilarious.

For AFK, sometimes there's a real life excuse, like yesterday had 2 players from party in roulette affected by a tornado, of all things. Though they clearly stated the reason before going offline.

I can understand if somebody has to step out, specially when one time this guy had to AFK because he was hit by an earthquake and yesterday had one had to do a large stack of laundry to deal with. But it really sucks when they AFK the entire time, doing nothing on purpose just for that easy farm and it does happen.

Agreed. It's also interesting to see all this content at minimum item level that by now most people either do unsynched or just with way higher item levels than people ran it with back in the day.

Hopefully they're okay. They might've just lost power due to storm damage in the area.

In some cases, the DCs are absolutely astonishing. Had a healer drop to the last boss of The Twinning last night, clearly new, they got told what to do, but the other DPS decided to wipe the fight anyway even though we were right on the verge on clearing it. We go back in, this time the healer drops again about halfway through the fight, then about less than a minute later, DC's and never comes back. So we play the rest of the fight out anyway and finish the dungeon because Clemency has no right being as good of a heal as it is.

I should note that the healer wasn't lagging or even once had a DC icon over their status. They just straight up closed the game.

It's not a big deal for other players to do but this sprout recoloured his Company Chocobo. Her name is Kiwi (aww geez, I wonder where that name came from), and she's now Adamantoise Green. One day, I hope to garb her in Emerald Barding.

A coworker told me the endgame is all about collecting mounts, pets, achievements and fashion so gonna get some start on that early.

Glamour is always the true endgame. Your best way of getting a head start on it is by saving up your money now. Unless you can actually do the content some things are locked behind, or you can craft it yourself.

I don't mind Asmongold either, but I think Twitch streamers and many YouTubers are bottom feeders. The fact that he associates with wankers like H3H3, Destiny and Uberdanger says it all for me. If you're looking for advice or actual educated opinions, Asmongold's probably one of the worst guys to get it from.

There's many things to do in endgame, but if what you like about video games is "mastering" the game, you're not going to find that here. I come from a raid background, and raiders clear all the content within days then replay the same raids for 6 months to "get higher numbers". There are many activities you can partake in, like the gold saucer stuff, fishing, gathering/crafting, glamour, mount farming, leveling your other jobs, housing, treasure maps, the triple triad card game, and social activities. I'm really not a fan of the latter, I'd rather stick my dick in a thorny bush than try to socialize with FFXIV regulars, a lot of them are asocial losers and it's high school all over.

I should try fantaing to another race, that sounds fun.
