/xivg/ is hands down in the top 3 worst generals on the board. The people you'll meet through there are the kind of people who think "femra sisters" is a serious, real thing. You've got multiple discord servers/cliques shitting it up on a regular basis and gloating about it.
Every single time I go on /xivg/, it's just weird trannies attaching dicks on to their characters and talking about which diaper fits best on them. It's probably one of the worst places if you want any discussion about FFXIV in any way other than ERP and modding. I am curious about the other worst generals though.
/xivg/ has a general on both /aco/ and /trash/ where they do their modding and ERP. But even then, the ERP still seeps into the /xivg/ general. The /aco/ and /trash/ threads also spawned a discord as some modders/erpers are trying to avoid specific individuals. /xivg/ is very obsessive about Eternal Bonds, which are marriage in the game. They tend to be men who ERP with each other, usually men who play futanari female characters.
Between him and Rich experiencing this game for the first time I'm just blown away by it all with how much fun they're having over things we kinda take for granted now.
I took a look at the wowg threads to check out the fallout of 9.1. There's a whole lot of seething and bait biting. You know it's bad when the furry avatarfagging is not the worst thing to happen there.

Hell. I bought the game last night, hit 20 a few minutes ago. FF14 does a fantastic job of slowly walking you through its systems without overloading you with information. That character boost was the worst decision he could have made. You have to be a certain kind of stupid to jump from one game to another expecting to immediately understand absolutely everything.>> Buy a lvl 70 booster

You basically have the crux of it. Every mechanic Quin died to either A) Was shown in another fight earlier in the game so you could tell it's coming, or B) Was done in the normal version of the fight with a much more generous telegraph and less punishing damage, so you could learn easily what to expect when you go into Savage. If he had simply said, "Look guys, game just isn't for me" I don't think there would have been nearly the same response. But he had to run his fucking mouth (which is something he IS known for to be honest).
