@Golfing on the Moon 1971 The problem with Minifilia is that a lot of context surrounding her backstory is locked behind 1.0 cutscenes and quests that are obviously no longer playable.

Also from what I’ve seen most of the Zero/Jullus ship talk comes from people making memes and jokes, unironic shippers of them are extremely rare in the fandom and the few fanworks I’ve encountered come from Japanese fans. Most of the people making a big deal out of it in the western community are the “Zero is a lesbian” types who complain about “comphet” and “forced heterosexuality” and view Jullus as a threat to whatever female character they pair Zero with simply because he interacts with her. I wish I was exaggerating. It’s insane.

And speaking of simps I have been recently made aware that there are a surprisingly large amount of people who want to fuck Asahi. And the Asahi they simp for is the real version that is Yotsuyu’s brother not the dead version that is Fandaniel puppeteering his corpse (though there is some overlap between the two.) Apparently he has a lot of fans in Japan and Korea. One of his simps got brought up hundreds of pages ago and it was a bio woman with he/they pronouns.
 
It looks like another friend of mine is looking to join in on playing 14 as well. In his case he's thinking of playing a male viera. I think with that, along with a few other friends of the friend who invited me, that'd actually be a static's worth of people!

Guess this gives me an excuse to level up other jobs I have like Monk and Warrior ;).

Beat the release MSQ of Heavensward and by extension the Alexander raids too! HW was very enjoyable, much more than ARR. A friend carried me through Savage Alexander so I could get the sweet, sweet drip, in exchange he got the mount from it.

I'm really enjoying tank to be honest, I'm having to think about shit aside from "do your rotation and sometimes dodge shit". Getting to content where I actually have to do tank swaps for once is nice too.

I know objectively Shadowbringers is the better expansion MSQ-wise but Heavensward will always be the peak for me. Ishgard is still one of my favorite places in a RPG, I loved the story, the side content such as the Warring Triad and Alexander are some of my personal favorites even to this day, and it introduced my healing job of choice with Astrologian (fuck I miss my cards actually doing shit).

I've always felt weird because I wasn't as upset about Haurchefant as others were. The two times I remember getting misty-eyed were Ysale's sacrifice (especially Estinien's farewell to her as you fly to Azys Lla) since I really liked her journey and Count Fortemps reacting to Haurchefant' death (killed me watching him struggle to be stoic about his son dying honorably but still be torn up about him dying at all)

I've talked about the same thing with a friend of mine and same.

Hauchefant dying didn't faze me beyond "well fuck, that sucks" but show me Ysale or Papalymo (I'm usually a Gridania start and no other potato comes close to that guy) sacrificing themselves and I'll cry like a baby. Ysale is particularly impactful imo because there's zero dialogue and you just take in every single second because there's no distraction. Honestly one of the best cutscenes in the game. Stormblood's my personal favourite expansion and Tsukuyomi gets me sobbing too. Kinda glad I didn't do that Unreal because the trial gives me feels too. I've had to blink away tears more than once.

I disagree with this. Y'shtola doesn't talk about Runar, but has hinted openly about it multiple times, particularly with her borderline obsession with finding a way to travel between shards. The subtext is very clear, but I think it's a mixture of her personality to keep her emotions to herself, and also the developers wanting to keep the door open just for fan service, that stops her from saying it openly.

I've never been able to understand the folks who constantly Fantasia. I did it once and it immediately took me out of the game until I went back to my Elezen. Wasted $10 for nothing. Hope you snorted some tainted coke with it SE.

I get the nagging feeling it is just going to be a friends deal. Like my brain is already thinking about Ahsoka and how they made Ezra and Sabine friends instead of the lovers Rebels was setting them up to be. Made all of her retarded decisions to ignore Ezra's warnings about finding him even worse since at least her still loving him deeply enough would explain why she was willing to risk Thrawn coming back in order to see Ezra again instead of it just coming off as she doomed the universe to hang out with her buddy again.

So yeah I can see them making it so Y'Shtola does all this insane work to be able to travel the multiverse just so she can feel so smug that she did something seemingly impossible in order to just go 'oh hey bro' when she meets Runar again.

First boss, I bet.
For that one, you'll die if people just mindlessly push buttons to attack and kill everything. Which to be fair...I can't blame people since they've been trained to do exactly that the whole time. Boss will spawn adds but if you kill them, they'll explode and kill you all. The only way to get rid of them is that a random party member will get targeted by an aoe. They basically have to take the aoe to the adds and the boss herself will kill them. That's the only way to get rid of them without the ensuing explosion.

If it was the 2nd boss, you have to protect the lala at the center from the purple orbs that spawn and move toward him. You have to soak them but be mindful because soaking them deals damage and if you're healer isn't up to snuff, they won't top you off so you might have to eat a death to save the group from a wipe.

Last boss is pretty cut and dry. Kill all the adds that spawn, don't let them reach the center and the creepy girl won't nuke you guys into the aether with her aoe attack as it gains potency the more adds you allow to reach the center.

This is getting off topic, but there's a decent youtube video from last year from a channel called Second Story which discusses this. Women's smut overwhelmingly leans towards literature because women just don't have the same reaction towards the pornography that causes men to get a boner. Women who like that kind of stuff get off to an emotional climax instead of just visual stimuli, which needs a lot more setup. Hence the insane normalisation of modern romance books with hardcore sex in them.

This is also why as others have pointed out, women seem to get away with a lot more gross shit without being called out for it, because from the male perspective written smut doesn't seem particularly intense. Men don't get off to prose about minotaur penises, so it seems absurd but harmless to us, even though it's equally pervasive and arguably just as addictive as visual porn.

I couldn't tell you WHY women want to fuck monsters, though, or why certain fujos really like genocidal ego maniacs like Emet and Asahi.

I think the reason men tend to get shamed (rightfully) for being porn addicts, more than women, is just that male sexuality is seen as more 'threatening' than women's for obvious reasons. There's an old GamerGate era take that the reason feminists get angry about chain mail bikinis and skimpy heroines is not so much that they hate sexiness, as that they hate the idea that unattractive men find things sexy in the first place. It's only socially acceptable for a man to have perverted thoughts if he's the kind of man women would want to approach them. The fact that the average overweight nerd still fantasises about a supermodel touching his dick is simply more uncomfortable for people to think about, compared to fujos. Not saying that's even a bad thing, necessarily; just an observation.
 
For villain fuckers the following guesses are based off of observations I’ve had over the years.

My guess over why people want to fuck Emet is because he’s has a lot of charisma, depth and a tragic past. And from what I’ve seen a lot of people who simp for him like the “ratman” grandpa look. Then there’s the emotional climax appeal that was mentioned above. He also has the “Tumblr sexyman” look that was hugely popular on Tumblr when it came to attraction towards male characters (Onceler, BBC Sherlock’s actor, the Doctor Who actors, Sans etc.) during the height of that site’s popularity (even though he debuted long after the site died out and everyone left.)

Something similar happened to Lahabrea when they revealed what he actually looked like in the past. All the silver fox DILF lovers were swooning over him. And his backstory attracted simps as well. Zenos is another genocidal ego maniac villain that people get horny over because he has the “attractive bad pretty boy” thing going on and his fans love to insert tragic past head canons on him. Zenos is also considered a Tumblr sexyman by some.

Another big thing that attracts people to these villains is the “I can fix him” mentality. That said it isn’t exclusive to female fans who want to fuck villains. Athena and Yotsuyu are very common among male fans who are villainfuckers because of the “I can fix her” mentality (and the whole “STEP ON ME MOMMY” gooner memes for both of those characters.) And if it isn’t “I can fix him/her” it’s “I can make him/her worse.”

As for Asahi…yeah I have no idea.
