Viera lore is something that sounds creative on paper but how it works in practice just confuses me. How do viera become their genders at puberty? Do all of them just start out with a vagina and they slowly grow penises over time or are they indistinguishable until they suddenly hit that magic number of 12 and they suddenly have penises? Does genitalia sometimes alternate or fluctuate over time? Sounds like Vieras have fucked up genes and I would not have children with one.

Surely something's been lost in translation with the official explanation. I always took it to mean, in more practical terms, that they're basically androgynous in appearance until puberty in which more gender-defining characteristics start to develop on the individual Viera's person (i.e., females start to grow more defined breasts and feminine facial/body structuring, males start to develop more masculine facial/body definitions), and it's not just a matter of "they have the same genitalia (or lack thereof) until puberty in which they just magically shape a dick or a pussy from biologically nothing".
But, you never know. This whole topic is fucking weird enough as it is.

What annoys me most is that the German and French versions of the article (couldn't find the Japanese one) just talk about gender-neutral names. Only the English version uses "non-binary names" and now those genderspecials feel vindicated in their delusion. Why not call those names what they are - gender-neutral. Nothing in that lore description says that Viera are in any way non-binary. As you, they know who to kick out of their villages...

This is kind of a problem with FFXIV localization in general. The English staff have direct input on the script (apparently Koji and female nu-Koji both collaborate directly with Ishikawa when writing the story) and both Japanese and English are considered equally canonical for the most part. French and German are where you start getting into the second-level localization (although apparently they borrow from both English and Japanese when trying to localize the script these days).
Given Ishikawa's... predilections, I wouldn't be surprised if the Japanese version is pretty similar although with much less politicized terminology.

Yeah, he's always been like that; I've watched his streams for a while now.
He's a dude who wants to live the same day everyday because it gives him comfort. He said himself that he wanted to play WoW with his mom and his friend forever but now his mom has passed away and the game is dying a slow death.
Also my understanding is that he's been bitching about the store mounts ever since they were added, likely because it changed his favorite game but who knows.
I've never seen this streamer before, why do you think she's underaged?

The constant voice cracks the way she acts the fact that you could drop her in any high school and she'd fit in perfectly with the wierd kids.
Also the fact that half of the FF14 clipping community seem to want to fuck her and that should raise more red flags than anything.

Asmongold is a wow addict and will never truly quit wow until it is 10 feet in a grave, you'd need confirmed evidence of Bobby Kotick himself being responsible for his mom's death to get him to quit at this point. Asmongold is very much a creature of habit and basic comfort, he is also kind of blasé about shit that goes wrong due to what I can only describe as him being pessimistic and depressed even before his mom's death though I'm sure that made it worse. Asmongold talks a lot of shit, but he is very much willing to take it in every other way (See his past/current? New World obsession) especially when it comes to WoW.
I vaguely remember him reacting to the protester scene in post patch HW and basically said that killing/hurting the protesters is fine to establish order or some shit through fear, which I have no idea how you go through HW and come out with the conclusion that using an iron fist to smash out your opposition is the takeaway but hey it is what it is.

I think he's an addict, but I also think that he's clinging on to nostalgia and memories of his mom at this point.
After his mom died and his entire outlook changed. It's like he's in denial or something, and now he's talking about how he'll always play warcraft, claiming it's fun and saying he loves it. And that's ignoring all the Lost Ark p2w sperging.
It's just sad, because it's clear he doesn't really enjoy warcraft anymore (I'd point to his most recent raid experiences, and point out that he talks about how fun the game used to be more than he plays the game now). but I can't help but to feel bad for him.

I actually agree with Shenpai here, but the way she worded was too overdramatic. Exposing someone's fetish over a meme while in character and using buzzwords to either downplay or poison the well is just fucking gay. Will Smith had no right to do it I do not care what Chris Rock did and regardless of the ethical morality of the situation, it was probably the sissiest smack I've ever seen from someone like him. Does that mean Kaiyoko Star shouldn't be mocked? Fuck no, but using this meme as a target is just dumb.
