Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

Is their any information or anything about what they are talking about that is getting them banned? Parsing I know is illegal "technically", but usually no one does shit unless you harass people in-game or something like that. So is it just usual "your dps sucks" or is something else going on?

They're explicitly forming parse parties in the public PF. Most likely trying to pad with the expectation that big parses will get them into a good static or something.

Wasn't it because of this?
Apparently there are people openly posting "Logs > 90" in the PF for the current pissbaby extremes. I think we need another raidtranny shoah, GM-kun.

EDIT: Adding in some screenshots

Quoting so I don't doublepost, I still don't get why they think trying to game the system within the system itself is going to work out any better. If they really want to parse farm, they should just organize shit in community spaces outside of official bounds, like Discords and the like.

Oh goodie this shit again, I remember this nonsense back in Heavensward and Stormblood where you had "Nin/Drg/Brd/Rdm/Ast/other pad job dps ONLY, BLM/MCH/SMN BANNED" then they're on fucking Samurai or Monk or some shit where they just want to pad for a parse in party finder on some EX trial no one cares about.

It was this shit that caused concerns with Dancer and parse runs, that the creator of fflogs made rdps metrics be the default because people were going to do uber padding runs with Dancer (I think the theory was rotating Technical Step and Devilments on the padded dps) or some other autistic shit.

Here's the problem with all of this, their is crit rng where crit/dh-ing your big finisher vs combo starter can widely influence your overall parse if you're going for pink ranges. Typically if you can hit consistent orange you are good by most standards, so if they're gunning for pink for static reasons then they're just too stupid to know what's going on. Top end statics worth being with care more about mechanic consistency and your ability to learn on the fly, because they do week 1 prog which has no guides to explain what shit does for most of that week.

Wasn't it because of this?

I missed this post, so :informative:

These people are stupid and don't understand how swingy crit/dh rng is in this game if your objective is such high percentiles, you might as well be rolling dice at this point. Their is a reason jobs like Mch and War tend to have less parse disparity then other jobs, because they auto crit their most important GCDs during the burst window.

Edit: Oh and if people are doing this in EX2, their fucking doubly stupid because that fight is so pad heavy due to the add phase that anyone with a brain doesn't take that level of parse seriously because you're playing in the dumbest way possible to get that sort of parse. EX1 isn't quite as pad friendly, but it depends on the job (DNC for example can hit everything with its steps).

Using the current extremes is a really bad way to show off how good you parse when the fights are ridiculously easy in comparison to a savage raid and the extremes themselves have a lot of points of uptime where you just sit there and smash your face against your controller/keyboard.

Imagine being this tryhard with introductory extreme trials.

I have heard this game is filled with trannies, drama queens and erotic roleplayers.

Anyone knows any ff14 lolcow?
Just take a gander inside the Balance Discord and take your pick.

Or go to Twitter and look at the faglord hardcore raiders that bitch all day about how the game or Yoshi P sabotages them.

Mumble murmur (long off-topic musing about the fascinating tendency of lefty hugboxes to vocally oppose "fascism", where "fascism" means "anyone who gets in my way", while goodthink always includes violent government enforcement of conformity, etc.)

Sounds to me like those redditors gathering firewood in Garlemald might have been tempted to exact some righteous anti-colonialist justice on those Garleans. They even could have used that wood to heat up some ovens.

No screenshots, but I encountered a gay redditing Blue No Matter Who Antifa Good Guys type via static drama a few expansions ago. This weirdo's take on Ala Mhigo as a nation was, "I like the aesthetic but I hate these people". I foolishly asked him to elaborate. His reasoning, shit you not, was "their buildings are pretty but they're so large and elaborate that they probably used slave labor on them, so I just know they're fascist slavers"

I'm sure Hydaelyn felt proud when she heard her chosen hero say "I just know they've done SOMETHING wrong" like a fanatical inquisitor.
I wanna rate that dumb but not you. Also one might argue that you should hate ala mhiggers because they literally stab you in the back during every pre-stormblood quest involving them.

I honestly hated the Ala Mhiggers for most of Stormblood, and even now I dont really like most quests involving them. The only good Ala Mhigger is Raubahn and M'naago. (Fordola is alright too I guess.) The rest can die in Shinryu's fires as far as I'm concerned.

That said, I feel like a lot of that can be chalked to SB's extremely schizo writing in general, something which both ShB and EW has corrected to a degree.

I used to hate Ala Mhigo overall and if I could control the story I'd chose to tell the Ala Mhigans to pound sand for trying to invade Gridania then cry when you get invaded back, and while the general populace aren't exactly great I like the actual background information and I actually grew to dislike SB even more because it shafted Ala Mhigo so hard. The origin story of Gyr Abania being the promised land during the 6th umbral calamities fall out is probably the most interesting origin story of all the Eorzean city states, or the ark just sitting there in the mountain that we never ever do anything with because fuck you Ala Mhigo.

I like that it became the starting point for a magical revolution with Red Magic, the Crimson Duelists being this volunteer group of practitioners who hope to keep their art alive and act as wandering defenders of Gyr Abania using the versatility of White and Black magic without the...you know potential to cause a mass flood. Yet no one in bumfuck Ala Mhigo seems to know what any of this means. Red what? Who Mage? Just absolutely mind boggling and it isn't even used to lamp shade anything, people just never talk about it.

I actually liked Monk's story and wish...literally any of it was in Stormblood. In Stormblood job quest you have the whole thing with Widargelt being the descendent of Theodric The King of Ruin. The main antagonists are a patriotic driven resistance faction who pretends to be led by another direct descendent of Theodric to start his own revolution and power structure for a liberated Ala Mhigo under the old rulering class. If only literally any of this was in the actual story.

Of all the reasons to hate Ala Mhiggers, he chose "thinking they might practice slavery because their buildings are too big". It beggars belief.

It's always been this way. Players freaked out about getting parses in 4.0 and 5.0 extreme trials.

I don't get it because most HC groups or statics I've been in contact with are cliques. They're sweaty losers in real life and I can't foresee wasting time to network with them.

You would get harassed as a dancer player in party finder to pad people's parses. Before that in Stormblood, you had groups doing "catered runs" where they would exclusively buff one player. Either that or people in party finder buffing their friends instead or whoever does the most damage.

Fflogs hasn't intervened to stop adds padding in extreme trials because the people running statics aren't stupid. Unlike in Shiva savage where the adds phase was removed on fflogs due to gross padding.

I need the WoWfugees from twitch to go back. They've ruined the hunt trains on Crystal with their zoomzoom attitude and ebonics.
Fuck off from my JP server. The drama in shout chat from westerners is so frustrating, okay there was an EP, it sucks, you don't need to cry about it for 15 minutes.

Hypocrisy aside as an English speaker myself, Tonberry was so nice and chill before the western invasion.

Also I've just gotten back from the ocean mines, 1k+ of aethersand in a day, time to make bank off these raiders.

ETA: It frustrates me to no end idiots complaining that it's the fault of NFTs for the super conductor shortage/server problems, this was an issue long before they gained traction. (Even if I think NFTs are stupid as well.)

I didn't get a chance to pregather mats sadly, so I'll have to make do with the scraps once all the gigachad crafters have flooded the market.

I've been going back and doing Blue Quests that I've missed here and there. What is this parsing thing about? I don't know the raid vernacular.
If you are familiar with WoW, think about recount/WarcraftLogs.

There is an addon/plugin (ACT) that takes the damage data from encounters, you then upload them onto a website which compares them to others who have done the same, placing you in a percentile of performance.

Basically it's just calculating dps/damage done.

You can gain a lot of knowledge from these logs but for most it's just a micro penis measuring contest.

Using a tool to measure your total average DPS numbers per fight and then getting into a dick measuring contest with other speds over who can put out the biggest numbers per class.

Raid spergs are openly advertising Extreme mode farms with the qualifier that people should basically be parsing at, or above, the upper 10% of the highest average DPS logs (or in other words, 90th percentile, because surely someone's going to sperg if I don't use the exact verbiage) if they wish to earn/keep their place in the party. It is against TOS for players to discriminate with recruitment in the PF based on parses (which can only be measured with third party tools, which are also against TOS), and the raiders are getting mad that they're catching bans from GMs because they're getting reported for their PFs.

On the flipside, party finder in North America is a cesspool. Players with 0 experience in a fight will join late prog parties, and players who simply cannot meet the stone sky sea DPS check will also join enrage parties. Stone sky sea (I am not sure what it is called in Endwalker) is an instance provided by the developer to test your own DPS against a dummy for each extreme/savage fight.

NA players have 0 issue ruining the game experience for 7 other players if they can personally benefit, whether it is getting carried or for parsing. In Japan, there's a higher sense of personal responsibility from players, but it's JP ONLY.

It's not uncommon to join a clear/farm party and get kicked if your parses are gray/you hide your parses/you have no parses. This is done with 0 notice from the party finder description. That way, the party leader has deniable plausibility.

Redditors wrote a guide to party finder. Reading it, it seems to me like the OP is autistic as fuck, and that the idea is that you should just clear ASAP and spend as many hours as you can in the game, as well as setting an alarm clock to wake up on raid reset: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...XpaGoPDD4SNqBoIXRVuPTCp6QejCYpVJLW3YKdpPC/pub .

What the sweet fuck is this?

"It’s not a bad idea to keep personal notes on players."
"Consider requesting January 4th off work, if it is feasible for you to do so. If you are able to hop straight into savage as soon as the servers go up, you can get a head start."

And all that shit about literally do.not.speak. to problem players because the author is a functional retard who doesn't understand what the TOS update was about.

This is great, thanks for sharing.

This sort of pruning exists in JP too. Their is a public block list on 2ch iirc that effectively goes "This player is a blight to PF, remove and ghost them immediately on sight for X reason". Usually this is for understandable-ish reasons such as playing unapologetically like ass, expecting to be carried, other bad behavior that disrupts the progression progress, not following your position for a mechanic (such as saying you'll go NW for a particular mechanic and going W and killing the W player) consistently, but obviously I'm sure obsessive parse faggotry exists too but you can technically ignore that as each entry supposedly has a reason for blocking the name.

Honestly pugging is such a crap shoot in NA (JP's pug scene is solid for a pug scene from what I've been told), so many people have no fucking clue what they get themselves into (and it'll be way worse today due to massive influx of new players in 2021) and just expect to be carried. Sometimes you get the most patient of saint white knights who will defend shitters because "Everyone needs time to learn" or whatever when they've wiped the group for an hour straight and are unapologetic about it. It truly is best if you want to pug efficiently to form psuedo statics with other good pug only players which does boil down to take some sort of notes on who is actually good, and pruning from there silently people you know are awful.

There is also a problem of farm vs clear vs prog throughout the weeks, the faster you get to farm and clearing each fight and getting to the next fight the better off you'll be, This is because it means fewer shitters squeak on by especially by the last fight because the 3rd fight is a massive wall for the average PF shitter especially for the first month or so. So yes, if you want the absolute best chance at full pugging Savage as painlessly as possible, being this autistic is actually a boon.

This is what happens when you use "You don't pay my sub" and its various alterations as a legitimate argument for playing like shit.

Truly the later you leave things the harder it becomes, I know savage is way more difficult than EX trails, but even last night in HydaelinEX I had a tank trying to stack on melee dps for the shared tank buster, through out the entire fight he murdered all of the dps multiple times, I don't know how we got the clear to be honest.
