Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

So I finished the Pandaemonium raid questline, it's a little too early to tell what I think about it, but as a melee dps main I'm actually genuinely surprised that the bosses in this expansion actually allow me to maintain uptime and even if I can't, I like that melee isn't completely bound to a rigid rotation. (With the exception of ninja but that's a fucking scathing that I might get into once I get it to 90)
As for the story itself, I really don't know how all of what we're doing in Pandaemonium is going to payoff in the long run. It's glaringly obvious that, like what we did in Elpis in the MSQ, we're required once again to set into motion another event in the past like we were essentially destined to do when we first talked to Elidibus in the Crystal Tower who sent us to Elpis. Obviously we have to win this fight because time travel destiny makes that abundantly clear, but I don't know aside from that where this story is going to go or what payoff "Past-Elidibus" is going to have at the end of the raid series. Like I said it's way too early to tell, but I'm intrigued nonetheless.
I think it's also too early to tell where this will go, and people are understandably curious if the raid will just be its own isolated story or if future threats will be hinted at.

Because of how past raids have worked I don't think important characters for the post endwalker main quest will be introduced
but if there's a future demonic threat to Eorzea this raid would be the place to introduce some concepts and lore for it

I think the new raid storyline is just going to be a vehicle for us to learn about Lahabrea. He's unironically the unsundered ascian we know the least about despite him being around the longest.

The new normal raid is interesting. It definitely has it's own feel so far, and they seem like a few quite off the cuff options. I was not expecting to be fighting a Notsferatu in my Santa costume, though considering the area's design, perhaps I should've.

I'm growing increasingly convinced that this will lead us to whoever or whatever Sabik is, though I should note I found absolutely no evidence to support that claim.

Some vagueposting tips for the fights:
- You can melee dps from the outer ring
- The Head is the bigger threat
- You cannot DPS the darkened on your own.
- Be careful about what's actually being used during the shifting.

And lastly, to all my wowfugees out there...
Our Jailor is better.

"The Heart of Sabik" was originally a EN translation thing that wasn't in the JP script to just make Ultima Weapon sound cool, but in the Ivalice raids I believe they said the "Heart of Sabik" was tied to Ultima the High Seraph and that the spell "Ultima" came from there. So unless I misunderstand or misremember, that was already explained.

I thought it would be based of the last dungeon of FF2.
I think Yoshi wants this expac to stand on its own as much as possible. Pretty much all content we’ve heard of, aside from the Loporrits, is either a dungeon boss or completely new for this game. Might as well finish out the story on his own terms, eh?

Didn't stop them from gratuitously referencing FFIV throughout the MSQ. (Tower of Zot, Babil, funny moon rabbits, moon area. Anima itself is from FFX.) I will admit the references tapered off once we went through the second half of the xpac, and I hope it stays that way. (Although I am still expecting a FFX-based trial series to round out the FF nostalgia well.)

You're not serious about that, right? That's just a "haha, funny" joke, right?

And then you hit endgame and the tomestone gear is nothing but FF4 cosplay.

ngl, i was sorta dissapointed Anima showed up to be "big" in the plot and then he got jobbed as just a dungeon boss, but i guess it makes more sense to give Hydaelin and Zodiark full fledged trials

Finally did the extra level 90 dungeons, Smileton's music was pretty great and the Escher buildings were all pretty cool to look at, final boss deadass being named "The Big Cheese" was both retarded and funny to me though.
Sigmascape was neat as shit and it gave me more of what i wanted from the plot by giving more insight at one of the destroyed civilizations, epecially since it shows the origins of both Omega and Midgardsommar, shame the fucking moon rabbits are too tied to both, but at this point my hatred of em is pretty autistic

Última edición:
Now that the dust is settling and most people willing to brave the lines have caught up with the story, I think my eyelashes might tattoo their imprint on my brow bones from the VENAT IS AN ABYOOZER opinion that some of the community is deciding to go with. I struggle to think of any decision that any character in a leadership position has taken in fiction that hasn't been called ABYOOSE in the last 20 years.
