Final Fantasy XIV - Kiwi Free Company

Is it going to be possible to stock up on completed quests to hand in on patch release or is this one of those games that reset quests every expansion? First time experiencing a expansion launch in the game
You should be able to do exactly that. I've never heard of the servers resetting everyone's quest progress.

I'm also assuming books might work the same way, which would probably give people a huge leap forward in terms of leveling progress right out of the gate.

Gaia-looking ass character, though.

In the end there's not a centralised kiwi FC or any kiwi-branded FC as far as I can tell because we're spread across a lot of different servers and datacenters and having your character associated with the farms could also cause its own issues.
Makes sense and understandable. Well you know anyone chill on Goblin? I just got into it I'm like level 30 summoner and still vaguely new to MMO"s, any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have a tiny but dead kiwifarms FC, Its been active for a year and no problems whatsoever

i cant say i agree with diabolos being good considering how many horny PF nightclubs/bars/whatever rp houses i would see :(
Coeurl's okay, but there are a LOT of "LGBTQ+ friendly" groups. Thankfully, you can mostly ignore them if you want to focus on the actual game.
Ok I'm gonna be honest rofl, I just tossed Diabolos and Coeurl in the "good" side because I never hear much about them, haven't had any shit experiences w/ people from those servers, etc.

I play on Goblin myself, and even we have a few RP houses/LGBTQ+ FCs, but it's all very low key. I feel like every Crystal server is gonna have those, so I can't really subtract points.
It's mostly about (for me at least) how aggressively idiotic the people who play on the servers can be. And the people I've dealt with from Balmung/Mateus (and to a lesser extent, Zalera and Brynhildr) tend to be obnoxiously retarded/degenerate/both lol.

There are cool people on those "bad" servers, and disgusting morons on the "good" servers too. It's just about likelihood!

My post history in this thread alone is a testimony to Coeurl being shit. I don't think the players have gotten any more competent at the game either, for that matter.

Welp I'm almost done with everything I want to do before EW, wanted to level a bunch of stuff to 80 just in case that does anything in EW. I've done basically every single major side quest chain (besides Nier raids because I heard it was a boring plot), even the role quest continuations too in case any references show up. Just need to smash Bard through Zadnor for a couple hours.

Looks like I'm stuck with Kan-E-Senna for my role quests though, well hopefully this quest will make her actually interesting.

I take no responsibility for the autistic Drk essay I will unleash upon you when the servers eventually go down, that is @Gravemind 's fault. I'll probably have to send like a wordpad document or something because I doubt KF can handle this must tism in one post.

So, I've been trying to get everyone to 80 prior to EW, and failed miserably. I've barely gotten half of them top 70, but whatever. You fuckers got me hyped for the DRK storyline, so for the past week I've been grinding it. Just finished the lvl 60 quest and just...

So the 30-50 questline is like 95% edgy bullshit, with very little of interest or originality. It does get points for tricking me; I saw the big twist coming from the beginning, but then it had characters appear to talk and interact with Fray, so I started second guessing myself. Fair enough.
The 50-60 questline was uninspired edgy bullshit with a giggling cartoon villain waiting at the end. Uhg. And it is fucking braindead how they didn't just leave Ishgard and go to Limsa Lominsa or something. Throughout the quest I was just about screaming at my monitor for them to just leave and go literally anywhere else. When they went to Gridania I though, oh, cool, they're doing it. THEN THEY GO BACK TO ISHGARD!!!!! WHY!?!?!?!??!?!?!? Once or twice there's a comment about them being hunted to the ends opf the earth. This is utter bullshit and I feel insulted that the writers would even put it forward. I don't consider that cannon. The writers are lying when they wrote that. There is no fucking way Ishgard has the will or ability to send a brigade of knights around Eorzia hunting a little girl, I don't care how much the crazy fucking mom insists otherwise. Oh, and none of the themes or anything was particularly interesting, just generic edgy whatever, which I'm fine with because at least the edgy bs wasn't as insulting as the primary plot focus.
With EW immanent, it might be a little while before I decide to the the 60-70, but if it doesn't super redeem this class story then I can rest easy knowing all of the people who rave about this class are bad and should feel bad.

Oh, also, the Eden story was borderline unbearable. Coils was great, Omega was good too, Alexander wasn't really my cup of tea(that's probably just because of the goblinpunk aesthetic, it's otherwise unobjectionable ) but jfc. I hope whoever came up with Gaia sharts themselves in public.

there's nothing i love more than gameplay getting interrupted for upwards of minutes so i can hear THE LIGHT! THE DARKNESS! SORA! such a thematic genius truly the interlude section of e12 is crystallized perfection, just as good the fourtieth time as the first

I'm very glad that they're doing away with the whole guest creator shit for endwalker. the nier raids always feel incredibly out of place and their story is self-indulgent "REMEMBER NIER? NO, THE OTHER NIER" tripe, the eden storyline interrupts the interesting expansion of world-building for the first with a middle-aged japanese salaryman's idea of how teenaged girls talk to each other sprinkled in with kingdom hearts, and actually I like bozja and ivalice just wish they didn't fucking blueball me, Lyon better come back he was fun

any time you see the conspicuous intersection of bad dialogue, tragic memory loss, and edgy black leather outfits with 420 belts, if Nomura is not directly responsible he was at least masturbating somewhere nearby during its conception

30-50: So this is debatable if Fray is really interacting with anyone. See their are NPCs where if you talk to them or if you read the journal, the game acts like YOU are the crazy violent lunatic yelling at people and killing things ruthlessly, not Fray. Specifically in the level 45 quest, when you tell the merchant to fuck off if you talk the storm recruit before talking to Fray, they say something to the effect of "I know you're upset". They specifically act as if you're talking or were talking, even though Fray is the one speaking they don't say "I know your friend is upset" they specifically refer to the player. Their are hints in the level 80 journal that further talk about this too. One interpretation is Fray physically exists due to the whole necromancy possession, but the WoL is speaking their lines and any acknowledgement of Fray is your mind tricking you. It isn't clear really if this is just a mind fuck or not and they never really answer it, nor do they honestly need to at this point as the whole point is to overcome all the emotional baggage that started this in the first place.

50-60: So Sidurgu says those lines about being hunted to the ends of the earth iirc, but Sidurgu is an unreliable narrator because Sidurgu doesn't actually give a fuck about any of this until the end. He just wants to murder temple knights because of what they did to him, so why leave his vengeance? Rielle ultimately doesn't give a shit about anything because she's been hated so long and Sidurgu's fake relationship doesn't do her any favors, especially with him being not even remotely friendly. Rielle is used to abuse and has nothing in this world really, so she just goes with the flow for most the questline. Now you can argue why the final clash happens, beyond just being a capstone, but I suppose I see it as putting to rest that whole thing even if it doesn't logically make too much sense from a practical perspective.

Beyond that Drk is cool mostly because it talks about the WoL personally more then any other job story and it doesn't just mercilessly suck your cock compared to say...Paladin and what not. It uses edgy shit to basically talk about why being an edge lord is bad, because the actual edge lord Sidurgu sucks because he is an edge lord and if you listen to Fray, well...if you did Shadowbringers' MSQ you know why Fray would have been disastrously wrong. Also Drk also uses its journal as a narrative device instead of just a recap summary of events which is a unique thing only this series of quests has. Still if you're not into it, I doubt 60-70 or 80 will magically change your mind. Scholar is also a very good story too though, the casters in general get good job quests.

The 6.0 patch notes are up.

It looks like you can't use leves for 80 and below to farm XP for crafters, gatherers, or combat jobs at 80+ after the patch, at least efficiently.

That's fair enough. I don't actually mind the edgy bullshit, it's more that it just doesn't add a lot for me as opposed to being a direct negative. I guess what really set me off was the antagonist of 50-60, solid antags are important to me and reducing the potential for legitimate plot to a goofy saturday morning badguy is one of my bigger pet peeves. I pretty much just finished the quest and felt like venting, heh.

Yeah she isn't that deep at all, I think it does serve as a solid show of just how deeply toxic and terrible Ishgard's faith has fucked everything in society, and further makes the truth sting that much worse. 50-60 is the worst, but I still think its good. I think 60-70 is the best, but I also like 30-50 a lot and they have some very similar ideas just different twists.

Job quest antagonists tend to be fairly lame tbh, at most they have a decent theme they embody but they themselves aren't interesting. Their is just not a lot of time to grow them due to how short the quests are alongside making a set for all the jobs. I'm glad the role quests replaced them as far as quality is concerned, even if I'll miss some of these characters in the job quests (I hope they do SOMETHING in EW even just a nod that they exist). I also want Rielle to grow up before we can her, because something about elezen children just weird me out unless they're full blown kids and Rielle is like the twins where she acts just old enough to be a teen/close to adulthood yet she looks like like she's 10.
