some of you may, like me, have had the hope that with the advent of the new expansion coming quickly a good deal of veterans would be right back in the loop there with the dreck that has populated the duty finder for the last six months. you know, to shake off the rust and dust and get a feel for things again

this is a fool's hope and i can confirm that crystal's duty finder is nothing but black mages that spam freeze on single target and singe (remember that ability?) on aoe alongside red mages that fucking love hardcasting

the solution is to come hang out on Zalera, where the numerical majority of the cool people in the data center reside. find yourself a group of autistic weirdos (AKA me and my friends) and never look back

honestly the majority of the trouble in the data center comes from Mateus from my experience, despite Balmung's dread presence, every time I see somebody screaming at a Labyrinth of the Ancients group for doing irrelevant mechanics wrong, or flexing a powerfully cringe rez macro, or getting extremely mad that somebody pulled a 24 man boss while one person was in cutscene, anecdotally, it's Mateus more often than not

Like I said, Mateus has long since become Balmung's spillover server so it gets a lot of the dregs that were either formerly on Balmung (before free server transfers were offered) or the people who just couldn't make characters on Balmung but still wanted to be a part of the ARE PEE community.

IME, never encourage the idea of "Bro, just come to my server, it's chill and awesome and doesn't have all these problems." You want your server to stay as good as it is? Always keep a "Fuck off, we're full," mentality. Otherwise, you risk bringing in shitters somewhere down the line.

Malboro's good enough, because I can't actually think of anything remarkable about it. From time to time I see people whine that Malboro players are toxic or something, so I can only hope I'm doing my part to contribute by ritualistically abandoning expert dungeon runs where I am more than 50% of the damage as the tank

Balmung and Brynhildr are my highest server red flags, though really none of them inspire confidence. It's good to have nascent flash, though

Malboro is comfy, the only real degeneracy ive seen was "rp clubs" being advertised to fuck that are somehow in it compared to other servers, guessing balmung was too full, otherwise i havent really found any retards

Although the randy FC i joined has had some deliicous drama, the pseudo troon who runs it got conned (and promptly e-begged back) by a random with a WoW name (think it was windrunner) for the wedding package and some mog station items, i also saw some retard uniroincally go full discord kitten with a user who apparently was recieving sub months, mog items, and even the xpacs/job skips, and then bitch when he got duped

he later called a bunch of niggas who interrupted him while (E)RP-ing faggots, right in FC chat, so he got immediatly unpersoned and beaned lmfao

Just hold your X key down and/or put the setting to minimize the number of player loaded in on screen to its lowest setting. Preferably both.

I'm going to consider doing exactly that if it proves to be an issue, much like hunt trains.

Doesn't mean every person on one of the "bad" servers is a degenerate tranny ERPing in public and they can barely even play their chosen job.

Coeurl's okay, but there are a LOT of "LGBTQ+ friendly" groups. Thankfully, you can mostly ignore them if you want to focus on the actual game.

I can imagine a couple of scenarios where you would want to hide from people, and none of them healthy

I honestly think it's a problem that a lot of modern online culture promotes not facing uncomfortable situations

If you have a annoying friend who doesn't let you play in peace or a desperate would be lover who hounds you 24/7 when online it's better to face such things head on rather than the theatrics of appearing invisible to your problems

Sometimes I just want to play something alone without being judged. like, If I want to grind something out solo instead of going with friends for one night, that's hardly a big deal.

Also managed to finish the entire main quest before Endwalker. Unfortunately I won't have the time to finish the resistance relic weapon and only got it halfway done


Is it going to be possible to stock up on completed quests to hand in on patch release or is this one of those games that reset quests every expansion? First time experiencing a expansion launch in the game
