oh boy Rich Cambell cleared UCOB (Un-ending Coils of Bahumet) and got his Legend title, and the raiding community is shitting itself in anger.
They claim he was carried because his party was made up of some of the best raiders on Aether. Keep in mind Rich actually took time to learn the fight and had people teach him mechanics. Being mad because someone from outside of the community came in and cleared a difficult fight in 4 days time, Old content BTW so there are guides for days, because you had to "suffer" and he didnt.
Yesterday party finder was full of parties with the description reading:

Such a welcoming community, I'm glad these wow players are playing XIV, its exposing these retards.



Man when Asmongold clears his first ultimate, the community is gonna implode on itself so hard it might form a blackhole or some shit, some of them are already seething because he's getting thru alexander savage with little difficulty.

TL;DR
Someone claiming to be a group of people hunting modders in XIV and reporting them to get banned was found out to be a creep stalker who set the whole thing up because he was trying to get back at/stalk a female XIV player. To make matters worse, the banner they used was a banner made by another group of players who made said banner to honor one of their friends who passed away recently.

People need to realize Ultimate is the perfect example of content where you cannot just be carried through it. You have to know the fight especially for making sure you don't kill everyone else by proxy. Damage is it's own thing but mechanics are almost always #1 priority.

Fact is Rich learned the fight, did it with a really good group of players, and managed to get a clear, while all these people are just trying to shun him because they're either jealous, or being absolute bigots.

to be fair much easier to do so for a streamer than some random, no matter how good you are.

Half the battle with ultimate (and savage for that matter) is whether your party knows the fight too.
I'd argue if your party consists of the best raiders on your data center who are hand-holding you through the fight? If it's not carrying, it's really close.
That experience isn't the norm. But 99% of what big streamers experience in this game isn't the norm. So who gives a shit lol.

Any raider that isn't some 3rd rate shitter or poser knows Gordias and Midas are not even remotely the same walls they were 6 years ago. Too many changes that have helped clear rates compared to back then such as...

Job buffs that have raised the skill floor for every single dps thus making the dps check is easier, tanks don't need to use strength accessories anymore (about 17k hp to 23k hp) and tank stances don't cuck damage. cleric stance isn't a thing making healer dps so much easier, Ast isn't fucking trash rng garbage today compared to 3.0 Ast, raise weakness cucking your hp isn't a thing which lead to a domino effect where people couldn't survive mechanics, newer jobs tend to be very good relative to what 3.0-3.1 jobs were like (except Samurai who is omega jank at 60 imo),

a3s also has like 6 different nerfs across its various mechanics and checks.
 
I think Rich is an annoying cunt, but good on him and more power to him for clearing UCOB, especially since its making raidtrannies seethe.

For all the Ultimates' reputation of requiring the utmost competency out of everyone in the party and how improbable it is to get carried, most Legend and Perfect Legend title bearers I see in game act like the biggest flaming faggots though. I never see one that isn't dressed in slut glamour while also showing off their shiny TEA/UWU weapons, potentially ERPing with another Legend/Perfect Legend standing right in their own character model's face. Also had a White Mage with Perfect Legend during a 50/60/70 roulette last night who's only other words aside from greeting everyone at the beginning of the dungeon was to criticize our Tank at the end of the dungeon for "moving around too much while holding enemies" because they were doing big pulls and this mouthbreather White Mage couldn't stop themselves from spamming Holy on the very first mob of each new pull.

Ultimate titles are starting to become like the Mentor crown from what I keep seeing out of the people who wear it.
 
my favorite meme is seeing people with legend/perfect legend fuck up the most basic mechanics in game.
 
Really don't understand why people care so much if Rich was carried or not. Rich is a streamer and his job is to entertain his audience that watches his stream. Nobody is gonna want to watch him take two to three weeks to clear UCOB. Sure, the clout chasers will be all over him and willing to take him in for a clear in UCOB but that's their problem, no one else. The community doesn't seem to have any experience with "streamer privilege" since this game used to have zero presence on Twitch till WoW players came over. I don't understand why people place ultimate on the pussy pedestal, this game isn't even remotely difficult and with the changes from Shadowbringers, there is literally no need to worry about DPS because of all the potency buffs across the board for jobs and everyone naturally taking less damage when it comes to level 70 content. Only people I see getting mad over fuck all are people who will never clear ultimate content, role players or twitter kids.

Because raidtrannies and people who bought a clear are equally insecure and don't want other people to have what they have, because they either "worked so hard" or straight up paid to get something that the rest of the plebeians can't get. They especially don't want those filthy WoWfugees to invade their spaces and take their clout away from them.

Yeah. The people I listed at the end of my post fall into those two. Same ones who probably use the game to replace their life, living and breathing FF14. I've done all three ultimate and collected all the weapons because I love raiding in the game but not autistic about it, standing AFK in limsa with titles and standing in people's way to the market board. Don't care for glowy weapons and I wanted to do ultimate because I wanted to clear the hardest content as a fun goal since it's only a video game. Seeing people seethe about WoW players is hilarious and I hope they continue to piss themselves during Endwalker about WoW.

Why not? Pretty sure I said this myself ITT a couple of weeks ago, but Eureka is very active right now and it's not hard to gain elemental levels whatsoever. All you have to do is join in on the nearest FATE train, and then just grind whenever a FATE train isn't going.
