People have to be willing and able to follow through knowing the risks, are you really ready to take legal action after they fire or otherwise punish/discriminate against you? It's time consuming, complicated, and probably expensive.

Unfortunately, I assume complacency or at least fear of being labeled a bigot that will ensue even if you're successful--which people are super duper afraid of--is why we don't hear about many such efforts.

As far as I can tell, the culture war is won by people that make the culture war "uncool".

There's an oft-told story about a kid who said he was trans to his Dad. Dad, who is apparently on the ball with shit, went full in with it and said, "So am I! Let's be trans together!" Sure enough , Dad started buying women's clothing and made a big scene about it whenever he and the kid were out in public anywhere. Sure enough, the kid decided he wasn't trans anymore.

Now, I've never been able to verify that particular story, but it seems there's an element of truth to it.

So...the way you stop DEI is not to combat it with your own identity, but claim to be non-binary AND something else equally unverifiable (like being a system or some of that preposterous shit), just make it so that you're even more "marginalized" than anyone else. That second part is very important because you need to be more marginalized to be an even bigger asshole than the DEI assholes. Get them spun up about you stealing their thunder. Change the power dynamic. If their power is the institutional power of claiming marginalization, then claim that power for yourself.

Yeah, I think people underestimate just how powerful ridicule and humor are. Making people look uncool and laughable has a lot more potential and reaches out to far more people than making them look evil. After all, not everyone is super-invested in the culture war, they just get exposed to a bunch of screencaps of retarded posts from one side and think "heh those guys sure are stupid, suddenly the other guys don't seem so dumb". There's even a bunch of subreddits out there dedicated toward cherrypicking said retarded content (if not outright false flagging) to paint a skewed picture of people they don't agree with.

I used to think that you'd be able to turn people the other way if you had enough people showcasing dumb shit from the woke/DEI/whatever side, without directly preaching against it. But the problem is that it takes a ton of time, effort, and subtlety. Plus, they might look at some of the dumb posts you show and find it agreeable instead of ridiculous.

Two things, the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.

The letter of the law, I am paraphrasing, is to reduce discrimination and give advantages to supposedly disadvantaged groups. If you can make the case, then yes you could slice up some legal phony bologna to give yourself the same advantages as everyone else.

The spirit of the law is a lot more different. It’s intended telos is ‘fuck yt’.

One of these supersedes the other. Take a guess.

Depends on the country. In the US, both the letter AND spirit of the law agree, no discrimination.
