I have this ficus tree I found in the parking lot. Now the leaves are turning yellow-brown and falling off. What is the deal with this ficus tree? Does it need more water/fertilizer or should I whittle it into some kind of rustic folk art?
 
Does it have enough light? Did you take the soil form the same place you took the plant?
 
Could be anything. Low light, not enough water, disease.

Regardless, it sounds fucked.
