All I am going to say is women and men should be treated the same, have the same pay, and be able to play whatever video games they like. This thread is becoming ridiculous now, women play video games just as much as men, yes there should be more women in games, especially strong women who are portrayed as heroines.

But now this is becoming something else, to the people who have nothing nice or intelligent to say please stop posting your rubbish, and get to the real subject matter please.

And no, i dont have the data that contradicts any other data, as i said i dont research data. If you folks dont think data is manipulated to the end goal of manipulating you....well....not much i can do for you.

I made a claim and provided evidence for it, you made a claim and have shown nothing. Have you shown any proof as to WHY this data has been manipulated?

Another good point. Just like little boys daydreamed about finding adventure and danger, so did a lot of little girls. Video games provide a really fun way to play through these fantasies.

You keep saying to inspire change with money, but that's really simplifying it. In Uncharted 3 I play as a daring adventurer. Nathan Drake is a guy. Would I like playing as a girl in order to self inser myself in the fantasy better? Sure. Will I not buy Uncharted 3 because it has a male protagonist? No. It's a fun game.

So, using the whole "buy the right games" logic, by buying Uncharted 3, I've basically sent the message "Yes, more adventurer guys. No girls". And like others have said; what if there's no option for what I would like? You make due with what's out there.

Sending a message with money only goes so far because of the way the industry is set up. Like Trickie said, it's an industry that's been very slow to change.

Everyone is missing the big point...

I posted a picture of a cat with a game controller... PHOTO proof they are learning,

47% of homes have a cat. in the US alone.. if they continue to learn they may rise up..

They already make us feed and clean up there litter, just imagine them with uncontrolled power?

Assuming you're not joking:

1) That's not going to be easy for any game that's not on PC. If it's on a console or handheld device, you need to hack into it first, which often includes expensive equipment and the risk of bricking your expensive vidya console.

2) If I can't complain about video games without being told to shut up and go make my own games (sure, let me just put my life on hold to do the job of several dozen programmers, artists, and writers all by myself) then I'm going to have to insist that nobody complain about anything in video games ever again unless they're making a video game themselves.
