My hot take on the movie is that the first half is kino and really on the money. But as soon as it gets to 2016 chronologically, it starts to come off as seething and coping from many individuals inside the doc. Unsurprising some having the name stein at the end. However, even taking the doc's normie as fuck take on pepe's political meaning and relevance into account, it's pretty good.
 
Pepe has grown from cutesy little children's cartoon to representing anti-establishment, anti-political correct sentiments.
Such a strange thing, isn't it?
