Unrelated politisperging, but I find it funny that every German chancellor during the Cold War barring Kiesenger and Kohl who were ousted by elections was forced to resign/was ousted from power for one reason or another; Adenauer was forced to resign because he was too old, Erhard was forced to resign because of his coalition falling apart due to a poor economy, Brandt was forced to resign because of the Guillaume Affair, and Schmidt was ousted through a vote of no confidence (The only time in German history that this happened, I believe) because of a recession.can't hassle the hoff
