Favorite and worst childhood memories - Prepare to feel

One particularly favorite memory (well, at least nowadays) was when I got the Operation game on my 6th birthday- the light-up nose scared me so much that I gave Sam a “rhinoplasty” (i.e., yanked it off) a few weeks later. My mom was more baffled than upset when she found out.

My worst memory was my grandfather (on mom’s side) having a bad stroke right before I received my first holy Communion. He passed away later that year.

Best: Getting molested

Jokes aside, I'm a fuckin alchoholic, I don't remember my childhood. Booze kills your memory. Don't drink kids. It's hell, trust me.

Worst memory: almost drowning. I still have nightmares about it.

I have a lot of great childhood memories but the one that stands out is the day I got into my dad's tools and started taking everything I could in the house apart. Dad caught me and I thought I was in major trouble, but he just laughed and showed me how to put everything back together again, and told me to ask permission next time.

I almost drowned too, in Lake Texoma. It's also one of my first memories, and other than my dog dying, my worst childhood memory.

My best memories are of family fishing trips, often which were at...Lake Texoma. Almost drowning was awful, but not enough to stay away.

I almost drowned too

I was 9 years old spending a week of my summer vacation with my cousins when my near-drowning took place. Their neighborhood has a lake with a dock and beach open to residents and their families living in that particular subdivision. So, we went there one day. I was wading in waist-high water along the dock and I somehow tripped and fell face first into the water. It was rather surreal to be looking in/through the water. Thankfully, someone apparently happened to be close enough to me that he or she caught me instantly and got my head out of the water fast enough that I didn't get any water in my lungs. Still, I seem to recall being reluctant to go back into the water for the rest of the time there.

One of my favorite memories is competing in my school's spelling bee where I finished runner up in sixth grade and then won it in seventh. After finishing runner up in sixth grade, I unexpectedly advanced to the next level when our school's winner chose not to go. There, I almost won but finished runner-up again. A picture of the winner and I shaking hands made the local newspaper.

Best memory: Getting a pet turtle on my 10th birthday.

Worst memory: Almost drowning in 8 feet of water in a wave pool because I didn't have an inner tube with me. The whole ride had to be shut down to get me out. Either that or the time when my 3 year old brother was peeing and I tried to get his attention and I didn't know that boys have trouble stopping while urinating and uh- yeah, he peed on me.

Best: Probably going to a con I went to and feeling the most intense joy I've ever felt.

Worst: Probably whenever my partner blacks out and wakes up screaming a few minutes later. I'm terrified of them dying.

Worst: Getting sucked into the ocean by a riptide and nearly drowning

Best: Getting my Gamecube in 2002

my whole life was just relentless bullying coming from neurotypical people
