"Leah sees individuals aged 18 and older, with a special focus on anxiety spectrum disorders, including OCD, generalized anxiety, panic disorders, and phobias. She also supports clients navigating depression, grief and loss, body image concerns, and identity exploration.
Passionate about queer liberation, disability justice, and supporting the COVID-conscious community, Leah strives to create a safe and understanding environment where clients can process their experiences and develop strategies to navigate life’s complexities with greater ease and confidence. She is intentional about social justice and multiculturalism in counseling, weaving in a client’s intersecting cultural and social identities to provide inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care. Leah’s therapeutic practice is also informed by body liberation, queer liberation, disability justice, and is neurodiversity-affirming.
Her therapeutic approach is influenced by humanistic and client-centered approaches. Leah knows each client brings in their own unique experience and draws from multiple approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), attachment theory, Health at Every Size (HAES), Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and creative exploration.
Outside of counseling, she enjoys going on scenic drives with her loved ones (with an incredible playlist, of course), playing with the neighborhood cats, and creative writing.
