🍗 Deathfat Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

I don't know why, but for some reason the "sparly bow" in particular really hit me weird, watching it.
Most of the time I can enjoy these as what they are, but for some reason that specific interaction felt weird. I wonder why.
The bow looks cheap and costume-y and probably cost twenty dollars or more, even though it’s something that would mostly appeal to a child under ten. It’s infantile even by their standards.

Every item is also very logo-forward. Head to toe Mickey Mickey Mickey.

You’re right though, something about this video feels especially weird and brittle.

Something seems to be donning on our gorl Ashley...maybe the food at Disney World ISN'T so great...already she showed great disappointment in the salad she had the other night, and now she's realizing this particular sit-down Magic Kingdom restaurant does not serve fresh sliced turkey as it once did...but rather, cold, nasty fridge turkey. Ever optimistic Stephanie gobbles her 1000 calorie sandwich and says she likes it either way, while Ashley laments she could easily make turkey sandwich at home (with it a fraction of the price goes without saying), dedicating a whole clip to the letdown that is her turkey sandwich.

She even went so far as to post a before and after photo for comparison, as this is theme park food, so this is a matter of great importance for our 5X Ashley. Recall that Ashley is too large to ride any of the rides, save for very few, so she mostly spends her days at the parks scooting around and searching for snacks while her friends go off and have fun. I do give Ashley props though, since she seems to have walked/strolled so far without assistance, though in fairness she and Steph haven't done much other than see a movie (The Housemaid, which they both loved) and waddled around, enjoying the "golden hour ambiance" of Disney World.

What other adventures did our duo get up to recently? Well, let's give them some time since they've been pretty boring so far, especially without the more annoying gorls of the group (i.e. Katie and Sarah). Hopefully these two do something other than huff and puff (Ashley) around the park and note how cold (42 degrees, which is indeed cold for Orlando) it is. I will report back if there's anything worth noting.

Ashley's little lament about the turkey reminded me so much of Chantal being mad about portion sizes when she gets take out. Same tone and everything.

Food really is the only thing these people genuinely look forward to, isn't it. God.
tbf that's a massive decline in the quality of the sandwich, the side-by-side is interesting.

Yeah and it makes sense Ashley is upset about it, literally the only thing she can do at Disney is eat food since she can’t fit on like any of the rides. For most other people this is the equivalent of one of their favorite rides becoming something worse.

Ashley is our recession-canary. I wonder what other Disney food is getting downgraded, shrinkflated, and enshittified.

Despite being the fattest fuck of all, I think Ashley has the best personality by far and it makes me sad she’s in the state that she’s in. I’m happy to point and laugh at the others while they balloon, especially Katie. But I have a soft spot for Ashley and would love to see her get help (🌈🌈🌈)

I agree honestly. PSPH Dad is Ashley and Sarah's dad, and I think she is most similar to him personality-wise since Sarah is a clear autist and beyond hope. Ashley seems to be the most down to earth one of the group and the only one who never annoys me. If she were conventionally pretty and thin, she'd definitely have more options in terms of friends, but alas.

I've never heard of that series before so I looked it up, and instantly regretted it.

Gi’s Very Big Belly (S3, E3) (2016).mp4

No I will not be watching The Rodfellows "Movie." I've seen enough, thank you.
Da FUQ was that?!?

No I'm seriously asking who in their right mind thought this thinly disguised fetish was worthy of a fucking full length movie? I mean kudos for putting it out there but... why?

And I guarantee you the price has stayed the same or increased. Just another example of the enshittification of Disney people have been remarking on for years.

Interesting how Steph is clearly trying to downplay the issue. Probably trying to stay on Disney's good side so they keep their place on the influencer special-treatment list.

Could just be that the gorls are tired or disappointed by the enshittification of Disney, or (and it's a long shot) they could be feeling uncertain about their videos now they've gone semiviral. There's the video of the skinny blonde girl mistaking some random fat people for the PSPH, and there's another few videos of skinny people filming themselves walking around disney with the caption "looking for the PSPH". Could just be my algo but it seems like theres a lot more (skinny) people eyes on them who maybe aren't their intended audience and arent the nicest in the comments. A lot of the "i wanna meet the psph" comments always feel like when the popular kid starts being friendly with the retard but not out of genuine care and you can tell smths off.

Checked in on Marissa, she's as boring as ever.

Being loud AND wrong is embarrassing. CICO has so little basis in reality and I’m so tired of people using it to back up their abuse of Fat people on the internet. If you want to read more or are looking for sources to cite, check out my essay, “Your Body Isn’t a Calculator.” #cico #weightloss #weightlossjouney

This one hurt my brain to respond to ngl

Also, Hannah Fuhlendorf (Hannahtalksbodies) is like, gone. I hope she's ok, but I don't see anything at all in the last 2 years.

*yawn* I think this is officially it, folks. I'm actually struggling to find actual fat acceptance stuff now. It used to be there in a 5-second search.
Everyone is so focused on AI these days, but we ain't putting the GLP-1 genie back in that bottle.

This is the kind of stuff I'm seeing instead:

GLP-1 forever? @Natalie Haytayan

Who was that awful woman getting a graduate degree (maybe phd?) while still living at home who constantly talked shit about her family and how she was going to make so much money once she finally got through with school. She was another HAES fat activist. Someone help my old brain pls.

happy to say you can now read hoffer et al (2025) in IJED 😀 #dietculture #mentalhealth #fatacceptance #academia #research
The paper: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/eat.24603
Abstract:

Objective

Diet culture refers to the ubiquitous sociocultural system which conflates bodyweight with health, perpetuates myths about food and eating, and upholds a moral hierarchy of bodies derived from patriarchal, racist, and capitalist forms of domination. Diet culture promotes a hierarchy of bodies and weight-based moralism that can contribute to anti-fat bias and the development of eating disorders (EDs). Despite growing recognition of these harms, accessible interventions targeting diet culture beliefs remain limited. In this study, we evaluated a brief, single-session digital mental health intervention (DMHI) designed to challenge diet culture beliefs (e.g., fat = unhealthy).

Method

A sample of 455 cisgender women (Mage = 32.6) completed the DMHI, which included psychoeducation and cognitive restructuring techniques aimed at disrupting weight stigma and misinformation about weight and health. Of the 455 participants enrolled, between 284 and 296 completed post-intervention measures depending on the outcome. Attrition analyses indicated no significant baseline differences between completers and non-completers on ED pathology or weight stigma variables; the only exception was the interpersonal relationships subscale of fat acceptance, where non-completers reported slightly lower baseline scores. Pre- and post-intervention assessments measured ED pathology, fat acceptance, and anticipated weight stigma.

Results

We found increased fat-accepting health beliefs and decreased fear of weight stigma and ED symptoms, specifically fear of weight gain, following the intervention. However, interpersonal respect for fat individuals slightly decreased, and fat activism showed limited improvement, suggesting that certain components of fat acceptance may require more sustained or relational formats.

Discussion

These findings highlight the potential of DMHIs to shift belief systems related to diet culture and ED risk, particularly as scalable, low-barrier tools for prevention and early intervention. Future work should examine the durability of effects and test enhancements targeting activism and interpersonal change. Hypotheses, variables, and analyses were pre-registered at https://osf.io/27ym3.

She's put on weight, or she's inflamed. This was her a couple years back:

That’s a stretch if I ever saw one.

What a fucking terrible study - designed in a way that ensures there will be absolutely no useful data rendered, plus an incredibly stupid hypothesis. A single online lecture about how fat people are great and how dieting is racist will surely prevent kids from becoming anorexic. Let’s make a study that proves it! And let’s use two WHOLE weeks after the lecture as an endpoint! No control group, because adherence to scientific standards is YT culture!

Lmao. Also she has the fattest voice ever.
