Side story but man, those weight loss commercials by contrave and the like made an interesting choice by keeping the same actress for several years because she has not lost a fucking pound.

Worse, she doesn't even use the oxygen all the time. She doesn't like it so she just takes it off even though her doctor told her she needed to use it 24/7.

Oh my god!!!!!! This is the dumbest thing she could do! The lay person doesn’t know shit about lungs and oxygen and getting better, even if they try to study up on it or whatever it doesn’t take the place of the dr that has been treating people for years!

There are so many damn mistakes that can be made with oxygen with the time you are on it and the amount or something not being plugged in or taking it off too long and getting your lungs too tired, or whatever, shit always happens with oxygen. You need to do exactly what the dr says is prescribed to you and use a pulse oximeter and make sure everything is connected. You can’t heal your damn lungs and breathe again in your own way! You need to lose weight!!!!!! You need to do easy aerobic exercise like using a pedal machine with your arms because you’re too fat to carry all of that weight and exercise and breathe at the same time. She is not gonna make it, you have to be open minded and willing to listen to be helped. You need to keep that oxygen on all the time and wear the ventilator at night because all of your organs are being starved of oxygen and you are dying!

Quality of life is key. I've had numerous relatives live 10-15 yrs past average lifespan, while suffering like motherfuckers for the last decade of their lives. It blows and it's terrifying.

Does any intelligent human really want to waste away in bed, in pain, for years and years before they die?

But the deathfats and obesity activists act like they'll be 23 yrs old forever, then die in their sleep at age 65. Guess what, you fat moron? You're going to spend years dying painfully. It won't be fast and glamorous.

We’ve seen this behaviour with Evie before, and it’s the reason she’s so immobile. After her leg surgery, due to her size there were no available options for restricting moving the healing breaks, so they made her custom splints. Evie didn’t like the feel of them (I’ve never come across anyone that’s comfortable in a cast or even a cam boot) so she took it off and just wrapped her leg using ace bandages. In bed she often didn’t even use the bandages. Her leg never stood a chance of correctly healing without the 24/7 restrictive support, and her lungs will fare no better from her refusal to wear her oxygen 24/7.

As I've said in the past all these fat activists are in their 20's when the body is as close to indestructible as it will ever be. By the time they're in their mid-30's the damage is done and by the time they're in their 40's they're bed bound and can't do anything while their entire body hurts. You never see obese people in an old age home. Fat yes. Obese no. There's a reason for that.

Dieting doesn't cause eating disorders (unless it's some extreme fad diet or something). The majority of eating disorders in kids is caused by peer pressure, social media and exposure to 'beauty' in magazines etc, especially when hitting puberty and you feel like a weird, hormonal lump so you start eating less or purging to make yourself skinnier, even when you weren't fat to begin with.

Not necessarily. It just means she'll have times where she gets tingles in the extremities and occasional numbness but it takes a while for the flesh and organs to really start dying.

For a child to have T2 it means something extreme has happened. It’s only recently that cases have become more widespread simply due to how incredibly fat everyone is. T2 in children used to be vanishingly rare. But almost all those obese kids are going to have T2 if they’re still obese in their forties. Diabetes doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a stupid comparison.
Google tells me that one in five US kids is obese. 20% are obese vs 2.9% with an eating disorder (if her figures are correct.)
So yes, kids need to be taught to eat healthily, which in children shouldn’t be severely restrictive, it should be a move to healthier living. Usually you hold the weight steady and let them grow through it. A child who is obese should be medically supervised as they require good nutritional advice and intervention to carry on growing well.
Your fee fees, Evie, mean nothing. Being told to eat less makes you sad, but allowing children to be obese is sending them to an early grave after years of suffering. This literally child abuse
