If Mensa Select member Evie isn’t currently on either of the SS programs she’s definitely going to anchor herself to whatever poor sap takes her in next. Best thing that could happen to her would be to choke on a dinner biscuit sitting in a trash compactor on a shipping barge. Otherwise some poor saps are going have to lift her out her brother house via crane like Michael Hebranko was back in the day when she croaks.

This Fat Alex old video is currently causing ripples in the Learning to be Neckless (I’ll credit reddit for that) world. Alex is describing her relationship with her father on a visit to Florida. No-one would expect her to discuss the real situation with her father being a convicted paedophile, but to actually lament their strained relationship is just a bit off. Just two years after this Daddy dearest was found guilty of violating his probation order. This is from 9 years ago, still up on her channel, but will it be once she gets wind of people discussing it.

Alex has a good thread of GuruGossip for the record. Here’s her subforum, each thread times out after about 40 pages and the mods start a new one. It goes back pretty far, though there’s a gap of a few years when the site must have been down.
Obviously the culture is quite different there from here (lots of blogposts, no dox), but good for getting a sense of Alex’s history and lore. They’re the ones who posted her plea to the parole board for her father’s early parole termination last year.

Some of you are probably sick of the Fat Alex storyline, but down the rabbit hole I came across this video from ten years ago. Timestamp is 9.30.
“Something really unfortunate happened TO my father”…yeah Alex. The unfortunate thing that happened to your father was that he got caught. It took a huge toll on her and her mum because….wait for it… not because her adopted step sister was sexually assaulted multiple times, but instead because….Dad could no longer pay child support. Yet a few years later she could describe what happened to dad as a “blessing in disguise”. I’m sure her adopted step sister would disagree.
I haven’t actually watched beyond that point, but did find how she talked about the earlier part of her life quite interesting. Now that the news has broken on her father’s crimes and her support for him, it’s fascinating to go back to earlier vlogs where she talks about him and their relationship, being able to put the pieces together very differently than we did in the past.
ETA: To add some additional context that I don’t recall seeing here, the sexual offences daddy dearest was convicted of all took place while the victims four parental figures were employed by a mega church, Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale (the girl attended the attached school), and during the time the mega church was alerted to suspicion it was taking place, but chose to deal with the issue “in house”. History has shown us how that goes down in religious organisations.
At some point Alex is going to need to address this issue, certainly before she takes her baby to Florida, and gets reported for doing so. I can't help but think how appropriate it is that her father's initials are RAT...even though my kids have had pet rats in the past that were adorable.. her father though is a feral RAT. I understand that this was kept quiet because it wasn't Alex's fault until her letters to the court were uncovered. I just hope her adopted step sister's name does NOT get doxxed.

How is it “systemic” if there are hundreds if not thousands of brands making plus sized clothing? And that clothing is accessible through both the largest brick-and-mortar retailer (Walmart) and the largest online retailer (Amazon) in the world, amongst many, many, many other platforms? Does she even know what systemic means or is she just parroting activist language to make it seem like sad fat women have a place at the SocJus trough? Go live in the third world and then cry about your limited selection of sweatshop leggings.

Short women would like a word. Fatties can go buy pants or a maxi dress at Target, but short women sure can't. If you can't hem yourself, that gets expensive in a hurry, and hemming things like jeans is a pain in the butt. The fatties can cruise into a big box store and buy a cute cottagecore midi-length dress, but the short woman who dares to try that one will look like she's playing dress-up with mom's clothes.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm feeling pretty genocided right about now.

At least shorties have the option to shorten them. Tall folk have very limited (usually more expensive) options. Also if you think hemming jeans is a pain in the butt, you want to try adding length, or being forced to wear trousers at half mast.
100% yes. I already buy the most expensive jeans in the longest length they have and still they're too short for me. Let's not even get me started on how every long sleeve is a 3/4 sleeve for me ...

I fucking hate vanity sizing, we need to do it like men again, where you have like 46" length and 32" width or whatever. I can ALWAYS find my size in mens, they just don't fit right for obvious reasons. (The worst part is we did it to ourselves with the self love movement)
