Also, in-n-out burger is one of the few things I miss from California.

Best burger I ever had was at the Spyglass in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight (which, for the benefit of foreigners, is a smallish island off the South coast of Britain).

Pretty much all the ingredients came from the island, including the beef. I know people get all beardy about "eating local" and "food miles", but everything about that burger was so incredibly fresh. Basically it was like colour TV compared to normal burgers being black and white.

One burger place I did enjoy going to a few times was Fred's.

As for other places, my first and only visit to The Counter was rather memorable for a burger restaurant, especially since you can have custom made burger.

In Southern California, there's a chain called Tommy's that serves burgers with chili on them. The high school band director took us there during our LA trip.

I also love Five Guys.

There's this burger place in Buffalo called My Burger Bar. Best burger i've had in ages.
Also Fuddruckers is really good too.

There's a kickass burger joint in Rhode Island called Boss Man Burgers and Fries. Not only do they have great burgers, but they also do breakfast food and Portuguese dishes like chourizo and chips (because it's Aquidneck Island and if you aren't Irish, you're Portuguese). They used to deliver, too, but I think that they got understaffed or something.

Black Duck in Westport has the best stuffed burgers. We hold our fantasy football draft there and dine on these $8 heart attacks.

In-n-out. They're kinda' a chain, but they're limited to the west because they don't freeze anything and need all locations to be within a days drive of one of their distribution plants. Also, they're awesome.

But I really like this one off place in St Louis, it's called Fuddruckers. It serves this burger called "The Hangover." It is a big burger, with bacon and an egg on it. It was good, but I felt like shit afterwards.

Me? I usually can't get 'em because my girlfriend's a vegetarian, which pretty much makes me a vegetarian, but I do love the taste of a good burger.

Kuma's Corner gets talked up a lot around these parts, but there are plenty of great burgers in Chicago that you don't have to wait 2 hours for.

There's a local chain across my state called Blake's Lotaburger. They make the absolute best burgers and have fresh green chile you can put on your burgers.
