The whole of 4 Cent has a late 00's internet vibe to it, feeling some slight nostalgia.

I'm guessing soy boys/bug men were a thing back then as well, but not widely recognized as a group?

So were degenerates like furries and pedophiles. They weren't recognized because they (like so many others) didn't recognize the power of the internet.

Read through the comic and really loving it. Didn't now who half of the characters where initially, but it was fun figuring it out.

One thing I don't get though. Rosechu hates Sonichu. Magichan hates Sonichu. Spunky hates Sonichu. Yet they don't even make an attempt to take him down. After Sonichu was knocked out at the end of the comic why didn't they just finish him off? Rosechu even seems to care about his well being, after yeats of her feeling enslaved by him.

Eh, maybe...? I admit I was playing a bit loose with the web culture on that page mostly because if I kept it to stuff people were aware of from when Chris originally penned Sonichu #8, the web was an entirely different landscape and I could almost guarantee some folks wouldn't get some of the references, so I intentionally combined current net culture with stuff from back when the internet was shitposting fun and not a fucking bloodsport.

Magichan won't kill Sonichu because Magichan is a little Machiavellian sociopath who would rather keep all the chess pieces on the table to play against one another if need be. Rosechu doesn't out and out kill Sonichu because she knows Sonichu is Chris' best boi and she instinctively knows if anything happened to Sonichu, it would only end up biting her in the ass. Instead, she ends up directing a lot of her hate through other channels, namely those that aren't visible to the general public. And Spunky takes her orders from Magi, so while I'm sure she'd love to curb stomp Sonichu, she also doesn't want to interfere in Magi's plans, convoluted and insane as they might be.

After Sonichu beat her up in that flashback, they wanted to form a team to take sonichu out. But Magi did nothing for years. Magi was even suprised by Spunkies new look when they saw each other at the mall. This further indicated to me, that Magi was a coward and never really planned to stand up to sonichu together with spunky. He just let it slide and never contacted her again. There never was a plan.

Also shouldn't she have at least asked magi for permission to kill sonichu? It feels like she didn't made an attempt at all. I guess unless she knows magi's plan?

But didn't Chris got beaten at the mall? I mean after that, with Chris out of the way, they could have made Sonichu have a little accident.


Just going of memory here, so might have gotten some facts wrong.

Its fascinating how with enough skill, even the most autistic idea can be transformed into something really good.

Magi-Chan seems to have some inconsistent behavioral tendencies even in TRS, but I think Blank does this on purpose because while Magi is the absolute master of the mental realm and playing the puppet/chess master he totally sucks at aspects of the physical realm such as direct confrontation. He reminds me of the Pokemon Abra and its evolutions, like them he's a creature with a weak spindly body and a glass cannon who absolutely can't take physical hits, but makes up for all that by having an extremely high special attack.

In regards to his sex life (sorry Magi...), in the main story line he totally comes across as a love shy virgin who was playing the waiting game, thinking Silvana would eventually come (back) to him and proceeded to have a breakdown when she did come back and revealed she had a girlfriend and was not interested in rekindling their romance. But fortunately he starts a thing with Spunky soon afterwards, who seems to be his "first." However in the current story line he seems to have no problem getting sex when he wants it and even revealed right before this story line started that he has the ability to tap into other people's sex lives. At first I was confused by this seemingly glaring inconsistency, but it makes perfect sense when you realize that what he was initially going to have with Silvana, and what he succeeded in having with Spunky, is TRUE AND HONEST consensual love without the need for hate fucks, manipulation, hookers etc. TL;DR Magi can cheat to get whatever he wants, but it's only really worth it to him if he can get it honestly and the love his partner has for him is mutual.

That seems to be the path he's on in the current storyline, but his views and plans may have changed in the main storyline. At one point sometime back one of the members of the Hugbox mentioned Magi was working on some sort of huge project that when completed would make him "like a god." I bet he's working on a way to usurp Chris' hold on their reality so he can either fix everything wrong/perverted/nonsensical Chris has made about their world, or just destroy the whole thing altogether.
