Well, the last few weeks have been a series of dick punches. Work has me doing another large project and on top of that, one of the people I usually supervise had to go in to extensive surgery, and has had like half a dozen follow up surgeries because his guts are determined to go all Junji Ito on him. So in that respect, I'm pretty lucky.
All the same, I'm clocking anywhere between 10-14 hours per day, having to cover the extra workload, usually getting done at work at 2am, which gives me enough time to heat up some junk food and contemplate existence before passing out. And no, I'm on salary so I don't get to file for overtime. This week is looking about the same, ngl, but I have a brief bit of downtime today before I have to head back in and figured I'd leave a note instead of leaving you some incomprehensible eldritch scrawling at 4am.
I got two Sin Sonichu pages in the rough sketch phase, need to focus more on the Walsh angle. I got that scripted - should only be about another 8-9 pages on that before that chapter wraps up. Biggest hurdle, outside of not being able to bend the space-time continuum, is that I've recited these scens so much in my head over the past few weeks that I'm sick of 'em. I want to hop to the next but I gotta focus else it becomes even more of an incoherent mess.
Hoping to get something done either tonight or tomorrow. I know, I know, "take your time," but I hate this long periods on downtime as much as I'm sure you do too.
In other news, Monster Mule is fantastic, and everyone should listen to the new Sturgill Simpson album.
