Sonichu [FAN COMIC] The Real Sonichu

For page 40, I wanted to do something unique. Alas, me in my ineptness decided this would be a good page for a "talky" page. So, I tried to find an even medium annnd got over my head, time-wise. So, like we did with page 28, I left the text out this time around so other people can add in their own text bubbles, purely for the lulz.

Of special note, this is the first time I've drawn Rosechu proper. It's nowhere near as good as Trickie's version, however. Gotta figure out how to make her hair/quills actually work.

But for now... enjoy the one-act play / "very special episode" that is page 40, where we glimpse back to where Megagi confesses to Rosechu she's got the preggers.

Annnnd yeah. Sonichu just kinda... happened when I was drawing this. I had a different idea of how the last two panels would play out, but Sonichu just... came into being on this. I dunno what it is, but his face just works perfectly for me here.

(And yeah, colored and lettered final version tomorrow.)

Also, just as a point of useless information, Spunky's shirt is in reference to the band Monster Magnet, which is a great, sleazy band. I dunno why, but listening to them really helps me get into the mindset of everyone's favorite purple skunk character.

Otherwise, I really enjoyed that and I really like your expressions. They conveyed everything without the text, too.

Yeah, it's supposed to be Sonichu's hand- not really clamping down on her hair or anything, but more of a "hey, I'm here" gesture. Some people would tap people's shoulders, Sonichu lays his mitts on your skull.

Anyway, here's the latest, with my feeble attempts to draw the food court that physics and spatial relationships forgot. I had to do some shortcuts here and there because as it turns out, some of my markers and pens are finally giving up the ghost. So, if for a while some parts seem to be oddly colored, that's probably why.
