Seeing Jason call out Lolisa about his "site" being all about hate speech is so damn satisfying - especially when you realise that people IRL are starting to accuse us of promoting hate speech against Chris and his deluded little world.
 
Gots me a Coof Test earlier this week as part of a mass testing event. just the throat culture one - I was really hoping for the one where they jab the back of your skull because that looks fun. Anyway, wish me luck and hopefully avoiding people like an antisocial leper for the last four months has been worth something.

Comics-wise, I was hoping to get this page done earlier but the first run at the page left a lot to be desired...

Wasn't happy with any of it. Chris looks too blobby, Sonichu's pose was weak, panel two cut off too much of the 4-cent building to give it any scale. Decided about two-thirds in to just scrap it. I may be doing a fancomic of a fancomic, but I got some standards, gawdemmit.

So, decided to keep it simple. During my downtime I've come to the not-so-starling conclusion that I lack the use of brevity. I'm trying to do a Miller-esque pulp while trying to write Claremont-levels of character interaction. So, going to be focusing more of that, and trying to get this damn sidestory done.

Also have some other thoughts on character designs, but I'll save that for another post.

EXACTLY what I was gonna say, I could totally see what you were going for with the front-facing perspective 'go out and zap to the extreme!' shout-out but yeah, it didn't quite pan out in the end. I'm glad you showed us anyway though, @_blank_ .

Did you use the symbol of Jupiter deliberately for 4cent's logo??? Regardless of if you intentionally did or not, it's a great nod to the prime political ideology that 4chan is often paired with. Either that or I'm seeing symbolism where there isn't any as I tend to do with fiction haha.

Can totally see why you didn't go with the first page, but seeing your own take on the infamous first cover of Sonichu is still an awesome treat!
 
Got mah results back. As of Monday, I am Coof-free. Let's hope it stays that way because the county I'm living in has been booming with new cases.

Ayyy congrats on being coof-free! And awesome - glad my hunch was right!

Oooooh boy. It's only a matter of time before we get to see The Incredible Face Raping Lioness in all her horrifying glory again. I have my suspicions about how the change might be triggered, but I'll reserve my thoughts for now and wait until we're further on.

Also looking forward to seeing how you take on the infamous Elevator pages too, blank!
 
It’s interesting to me seeing how suddenly it’s Sonichu not wanting to deal with all this and Magi-Chan pushing everyone around. Guess the others finally had the influence on them they wanted.

I think what they wanted was an omnipotent psychic gimp they could slap around. What they have is an omnipotent psychic with an ax to grind playing the game of thrones with them.

This. It's a case of "be careful what you wish for" kind of deal, which is how Chris' comic always seems to appear as for me. Chris has a way of making sure that nobody is a homo in CWCville with his psychic watchhog, but hasn't got the foresight to realise that this same watchhog could easily turn around and rightfully fuck him, his other children and his entire world over.

The CWCki always said Magi-Chan was arguably the most useful and usesless character in Sonichu - now his full potential has been realised in a comic that does him justice far, far better.

To be fair we've seen Magi interested in one other male only, and that one was female in every way except having a penis. Other then that he's been shagging Rosechu, Layla, and I think one other female. I wouldn't really call him gay. (but Sonichu sure would and did.)
