Sonichu [Fan Comic] Rosechu's Story - A reimagining of the Sonichu story from Rosechu's perspective.

Now I'm wondering if everyone in Cwcville already knew about the Sonichu species. When Professor Cole finally shows up, he's going to sip his craft beer and say that he was into catching sonichus before it was cool.

Incidentally, who is "Kidmann"? Is that an original character*?

He's an original character, yes. I wanted a DJ character to act as Jamsta's caretaker, as Jamsta's supposed to have been around since the beginning. I'm not sure how "Kiddman" came to mind, but but I thought James "The Kidd" Kiddman would be a good name for a radio DJ, like he could be the second half of a radio duo called "Billy and the Kidd" or something. I don't really have much else to him beyond that, apart from him living in an apartment that doesn't allow pets.

If I'm guessing correctly, it seems you're pairing up all the rosechus and sonichus with trainers? Makes a lot of sense they start that way.

Not exactly, I'm mostly doing this for Jamsta and maybe one or two others who don't have explicit backstories, the rest will mostly have their canon backstories intact.

I fear for the day that Chris' necromancy raises Patti-chan from the dead in your comic. Although she'll stil be the most adorable dog-zombie in the comic.

I'm still working on what's going to happen with Patti, but I think she's going to be something of an interesting case.

I'm predicting it right now, Chris will have Bionic in his team. After all, he had to test those S-Chu balls on something, right?

What, actually TEST the pokeballs? Sounds like something someone competent would do.

What's sad is that Trickie and _blank_ have had me running to the CWCki a lot. Bionic is the eldest of them, and he was full hedgehog and not a sonichu. But, with most everything Chris has written, there's been a lot of retroactive continuity in characters. Still, wouldn't be surprised if you're right.

Actually, the thought of Bionic being treated like a pokemon never really entered my mind. He's older, technically, but he doesn't make his first appearance until well into the 7th issue in the original comics. He even has to be coached later on the basics of pokemon battle strategy.

Well, the presence is somewhat there already, what with there being an S-Chu ball in prominent display in the Cwcville Gym, but I think they're not as known in the public eye as they will be later on once they sort of become sort of like superheroes.

I guess they might express it more subtle ways that I haven't noticed, because just directly trash talking them on air just seems like an awful idea.

Possibly a small town thing? I remember growing up, before all the radio stations were pretty much bought by the same company, a classic rock station and a more metal rock station had a rivalry. DJs would mostly just shit talk each other a bit, and sometimes they'd prank call each other trying to get them to play stupid songs ("Sunglasses at Night" was a running gag). I think it was more of a friendly rivalry, and I remember one year during a "buy a song for charity", the classic rock station donated like $10k to have the metal station play an entire Bruce Springsteen album.

There was a radio personality called Kidd Kraddick here in Dallas, super popular and a pretty awesome guy. Did a thing ever year where the radio show he hosted took a bunch of terminally ill kids and their families to Disneyland. He sadly died during a fundraiser back in 2013 from heart disease.

However, since I don't want things to be completely dead (especially since I'm going to be taking this break during Rosechu's Story's first anniversary), what I'm going to be doing instead is a "Who's That Sonichu" marathon. We haven't done one in ages, so I think it's about time. I'm going to try to get together enough to have at least one for every week that I'm on haitus, if not more.

So here's the first one! You have until midnight on Saturday the 4th to guess who it is, but... I think this one might be slightly obvious.
