Okay, so, I mentioned before that I'm going to be taking the month of April off for the move, which means next week's page is going to be the last one for a little while. I might try to eke out a page for the week after that, but for now we should count on the next one being the last one before I get settled in May.
However, since I'm moving so far away, the people who will be hauling my stuff over have told me that they might not be able to get it there until around May 9th at the earliest. I'm going to be working with them to see if we can shift things around and get it out sooner, but it's entirely possible that we might not be back to regular comic schedule until closer to the middle of May. If that happens I might just do sketch pages on paper or something. We'll have to see when I get there.
Man, I actually remember that Champ in the Making guy from the games! I never actually imagined him as an old man though, I remember thinking he was around the same age the main character was, that makes him kinda creepy in retrospective...I love Kel's interaction with him though (or rather her uninterested lack of an interaction with him.)
Their appearance varies a bit, with most looking like nerdy guys, but some of them do look older. If you've seen the gym guides from the Black and White 1 and 2 games, they're older guys with short white hair and round shades. I sort of combined that idea with the keeper of the destiny cave from
Sonichu episode 7 and got an aging hippie.
I gotta admit, you draw the Pokemon outfits really well. Kel and Chris actually look like they could be from the games in this style! Also I can't believe how charming you made Chris look and even act. I said this in Pikonic's Sunstone fanfic as well; as fun as the over-the-top parodies of Chris are, it's actually pretty refreshing seeing him being portrayed more normally, if only a little quirky and bumbling. I assume that's gonna change though, given what happens to not only him, but in the comic later on...should be either interesting, funny, sad or frightening to see, I'm frankly not sure which...
It's going to be all of those things, probably.
I think I'm getting the DT's from the lack of Sonichu being cute here...
Unfortunately we won't see him again until the beginning of the next chapter. Just hold on until then, okay?
You know, Chris can claim to discover Sonichu, but Kel's the one who currently has an Electric Hedgehog Pokemon.
And in a regular Pokeball, no less. Not a "required" S-Chu ball.
Well, technically Solid's claim is legitimate (he 'created' them), but no one really knows that yet.
And now another week of waiting. And thank you for the cameo. I wasn't serious, but really, really awesome of you to go to that length for your fans!
I try.
So we are actually getting pages involving Chris's other pokemon? Nice! Now i have 2 questions.
1. Are you actually going to show WHY Sonichu calls Chris "Father" or no?
2. Will the fight involving Sonichu and Rosechu include Feels or no? (if there is one, infact the whole "CWCVille Gym" stuff is hazy with my memory. Which Sonichu issue did it debut on?)
Anyway, you're doing great Trixie. I'm just wondering why this hasn't been recommended to TVTropes.
1) Yes, but not with the current scene, that'll come later.
2) Sonichu and Rosechu aren't going to be fighting this time, this battle was never actually depicted in the comics, and only really exists in
Rosechu's Cwckipedia page. In fact, Cwcville gym was never depicted in the comics, the only thing I had to base all this off of was
this image.
I'm curious how this comic is going to portray Rosechu's interactions with the likes of Bubbles and Angelica.
They didn't interact much in the comics, but it's implied that they all talk on the phone a lot, so you could say that the relationship is at least friendly.
I'm not sure, but is the dude in the CWC jumper myself?
Yeah, he doesn't look that much like Morissey, but I tried.
I'm just gonna assume all the blue dots in the audience are Pikonics
Yes, this is now canon.
I really like how Chris is very awkward but not horrible like he is in real life.
Yeah, we'll have to see how long the not-horribleness lasts.
