Sonichu [Fan Comic] Rosechu's Story - A reimagining of the Sonichu story from Rosechu's perspective.

If we're talking game=wise, I don't believe there's been any sort of established sedative, unless you count status effects or something. Plus, I'd imagine keeping someone drugged up off their ass for two weeks street could cause some issues.
Well, drug him, drag him down to the cellar and mentally break him until he's a completely obedient shell of what he was once before.

Yes, I have been watching Game of Thrones. Why do you ask?

Look, I know the comic is based off the original "Sonichu" and all, but we don't want to see the characters treated exactly the way Chris treated them

This is awesome. A girl Kel's age living in a cabin - once of my pet Sonichu plot flaws - actually makes effortless sense.

I can't wait for the introduction of Professor Cole. I really hope he's a bald hipster who styles himself the world's smartest pokemon scientist...

If it's okay with you, I want to share a few guesses as to how Liquid Chris will fit into all of this:

1. Liquid is the TRUE and HONEST mayor of CWCville but was forced to go into hiding when Solid attempted to assassinate him to kidnap Kacey.

2. Liquid is trying to get the PVCC on his side to stop Solid's tyranny over CWCville

3. Somehow Liquid knows more about Rosechu's transformation than everyone else

2. Liquid is trying to get the PVCC on his side to stop Solid's tyranny over CWCville

I've totally misread "Solid's tyranny" for "solid tranny." Actually, that'd be a pretty accurate description for the bold new look Chrissun's been going for lately.

As for the latest page: terrific as always. Kel seems to be stirring up some grade A shizzle. And of course that fridge is absorbs all sounds perfectly, it must be the Resident Evil Refridgerator!

Cabin mystery finally explained.

I like Rosechu's slightly amused expression in the third panel. Its like this isn't the first crazy plan Kel's thought of. xD

Yeah, I think I did say that the whole mystery behind why she's living there wouldn't be a huge, game changing reveal.

And yeah, these two have been together for years now, so I don't doubt that they've participated in some wacky hijinks before this.

FUCKIN' ABRAS, man. Easily one of the most annoying encounters in the Pokemon-verse.

I'm liking where this is going; plus relieved that Kel's not just trying to put Sonichu and Rosechu because "muh OTPs!" Or worse yet like Chris pairing the Game Place kids by their ethnicity.

Yeah, the whole "It must be fate!" thing with her, which I'm so glad was in a thought bubble and not actual dialog so it's easier to excuse its omission.

Great page! I like how you've been giving a reason for events from the original Sonichu storyline to have happened the way that they did. It shows me that you've really been thinking this thing through as you've gone along. I'm guessing that Kel will attempt at playing matchmaker/ keeping Sonichu busy and her plan will lead into the confrontation with a certain Team Rocket member and legendary bird Pokémon. ;) This is a great way to transition into something like that and really helps the story flow naturally, whereas Chris just made shit happen because plot. I'm looking forward to seeing how you will handle it, because it is probably going to be epic!

Unfortunately the incident with Naitsirhc is one of those things that's going to be glanced over, mostly for the sake of underscoring an overarching plot point, but we will get to see a neat pokemon battle that wasn't depicted in the comics.

Nice page as always, and happy to see how well you're weaving the existing comic into the new awesomeness. Also like the idea of them hiding behind a fridge door which would somehow block out all sound as well- it adds a subtle comical flair to it.

Just one question though, doesn't Poemon have tranqs or something? Like, couldn't she just spike Sonichu's Brunswick stew? I know, it'd destroy the storyline, but just thinking outloud.

I'm sure there's something like tranquilizers in the pokemon world somewhere, but as far as I know it's not common for pokemon trainers themselves to have access to them. Pokemon do have the ability to paralyze, poison, and put other pokemon to sleep, but these are only through attacks and abilities they might have, and would require them to battle.

Oh KEL. Now I see what game she's playing. Sneaky, sneaky.

This makes sense though, it's a trainers dream come true to find a unique Pokemon! Love the twists you're giving the characters, and the Abra flashback...(Damn you Teleport!!!)

Oh absolutely. It's been years since she set out on her pokemon adventure, so she's definitely committed to the job, and being the first to discover a brand new species of pokemon would be a very appealing badge of prestige for her.

This is awesome. A girl Kel's age living in a cabin - once of my pet Sonichu plot flaws - actually makes effortless sense.

I can't wait for the introduction of Professor Cole. I really hope he's a bald hipster who styles himself the world's smartest pokemon scientist...

I haven't thought too much about what I'm going to do with Professor Cole, actually, but I almost want to have him try to charge Kel $250 for his time.

Nah, I don't mind predictions at all, I just like messing with blank. As for yours, I'll say that one of those is spot on, and one is only partly true.

I've totally misread "Solid's tyranny" for "solid tranny." Actually, that'd be a pretty accurate description for the bold new look Chrissun's been going for lately.

Yeah, it's kind of a shame I won't really be able to get into the tomgirl saga in the span on the comic, as the story ends shortly after the events of Issue 10. Maybe I'll do a short side comic, I dunno.

Are you doing the time travelling eggs in this story, so rumoured sightings of Sonichus possibly predated the events of the comic? Or are all Sonichus Chaos Rainbow mutated pokemon (and possibly humans, though The Game Theorist posits humans are a pokemon subspecies)?

Headcanons only from here on out:

If so, my bets for mutated humans are Darkbind, Zelina, Jamsta, his girlfriend, Asperchu, Alzerchu, and many background Asperchu characters.

Grandma Snorlax was the result of an unrelated teleportation accident (like Bill and the Clefairy) they never fixed half because it's almost impossible to get the Snorlax to move, and half because they don't trust the teleporter.

Asperchu's original name, before converting to Chudaism, was Casper, but switched because he liked the nickname he got from Jivin.

It's a pity we won't see the Naitsirhc fight, since I was looking forward to seeing your take on what Naitsirhc might look like, and Sonichu's infamous "Confused Zapdos" attack, but now I'm looking forward to seeing this new original Pokémon battle!

I don't think the "Confused Zapdos" was supposed to be an attack, more like Chris not knowing how to draw a confused Zapdos effectively.

Just for you, though, I doodled a pre-Hard Gay Naitsirhc, since he won't be the subject of any focus until about 3/4 of the way into the story.

I hope I'm not the only one who went back to reread issue 10 just now ;)

Should I feel bad that I'm compelling people to actually read Sonichu? xD

This is amazing! I've never been so captivated by a webcomic, and it's about SONICHU. You and _blank_ are true heroes.

TRUE and HONEST American Heroes? I dunno. I don't really think I'm making something all THAT special. This is a crappy pixel art comic, after all. :P

I appreciate the complement, though. The important part to me is that people enjoy the comic.

Interesting headcanon, but I'm trying to stay as close to Chris' canon as possible, and I can't think of a good reason to change the time travelling egg bit, as it doesn't impact Rosechu's story all that much.

Maybe Professor Cole can go on about how he can't get a decent craft reeb in CWCville?
Oh how his Snorlax nearly body slammed him once.

Do you guys really think Kel has enough money to get an audience with Professor Cole?

Well, I guess maybe he'd give her a discount since she's just a kid.
And an owner of boobehs.

Well, as a pokemon trainer, Kel's no slouch, so I don't think she'd really be all that strapped for cash. Though, not rich enough that she wouldn't be pissed at being charged $250 just to see a Pokemon Professor.

As for the boobies, I don't know too much about Cole. Is he really that much of a lecher?

I don't think so, but he IS related to Chris, so...
Eh, I think it's much funnier to imagine him as a pretentious hipster who thinks he is the only smart person in the world and thinks of himself as God's gift to women, but that's probably my low opinion of him talking. Maybe allude to the "Coleslaw" nickname that we gave him here at the forums?

I'll have to read up on him a bit more. Not sure how I can work the Coleslaw nickname in, but I'll try.

I'm curious, given that Chris never found franchise he liked that he couldn't rip off, I can probably assume that the Pokemon anime is canon.

I'm wondering what Meowth would think of all this. He busts his ass to learn how to speak and act human, even sacrificing half his move slots in the process, and here come these guys, who without trying (literally in some cases, having lived in isolated locations without any human contact) manage to learn it no problem just because of some magic rainbow, and many of them don't seem to be limited to 4 move slots.

If you're taking requests, I wouldn't mind seeing Meowth looking at the Sonichus effortlessly acting human and him bitterly saying "It's just not fair!"
