One of the oldest memes in discourse about Fallout 3 is to post a screenshot of Megaton with the caption "What do they eat?" It devolves into more memes like posting photos of various settlements in Fallout and saying "where do they shit" and the autists in particular seethe about this with arguments back and forth about Megaton making no food, caravans supplying it, water being drawn that could be used for indoor farming and on and on. My post was just saying it would be funny if someone at Bethesda just placed piles of nonsensical corn everywhere because doing so would make said autists seethe even more.
You can see the effectiveness of it by how the person below you immediately responded calling me a moron for making a joke and saying i'm the malding one.
I made a one sentence statement and you started coping. There isn't anything more to it than that, but feel free to write more in-detail explanations as to how Fallout 3 is a badly written piece of shit with no worldbuilding, saves me the time(and I can do that all day, believe me). "Oh, the game is awful, that's the joke! You're just mad if you point it out!" Haven't heard that one in years, almost makes me feel nostalgic.
Good one, maybe if you use it a bit more then Fallout 3 will rightfully take it's place as a masterpiece and New Vegas, with it's "boring" well done writing will be forgotten. If you want to talk about "memes" and "discourses", it should be pointed out that there has not been a single debunk video that actually defends Fallout 3 effectively, meanwhile I can pull out half a dozen takedown pieces that ask very simple questions and the game/it's fanbase fails to answer them. I guess when you've been collecting this many Ls over the course of nearly 20 years, you got to own that puddle of piss in your pants eventually, right?
Anyways, I was thinking I was losing my touch, but I guess if I can still make Bethesda cultists seethe so hard with just a few words, that must mean I still got it. That's good to know, considering that in a few months I'm going to be collecting some scalps when Outer Words 2 comes out.
BTW if you want to actually engage with the topic and not listen to some Fallout TV show fan getting pissy(as they usually are), I actually talked about this very topic in the Elder Scrolls thread
It actually isn't that bad, once again if you're 8. It's a cartoon town where nothing needs to be explained, it's the rule of cool and the very first attraction on your very own Fallout theme park ride. I get the reasoning, but it's still retarded and so is anyone who claims anything in that game is well written or thought out. You want an example of a well written "theme park" city with a "rule of cool" premise that actually makes sense within the world it exists in? Boom, New Reno in Fallout 2, released in 1998 btw. Nothing like that exists in Fallout 3, 4 or 76. If you want New Reno, just without the cartoony stereotypes(for the most part) and better written, there is your capital city of New Vegas in the game by the same name. See, discussing Fallout Bethesda games is such a fish in a barrel situation since you have precedent set by other studios, where as we can be more forgiving with TES retardation since nobody but Betheda took a serious crack at the series(unless you count ESO as a serious TES game). Then again, I am sure the writing, worldbuilding and lore would also not stand up to scrutiny if we compared TES to other similar fantasy settings, but alas I am not an expert on that subject. Someone probably talked about that who is more qualified to do so than me.
Looking forward to productive, on-topic discussions in this thread and totally not just expecting more badly written, womanly and childish cope posts from Bethesda tourists(emphasis on "tourists", ie outsiders and not real fans).
