Wrong, it's not that bad if you just play with Open Strip like a normal human being. That award goes to Come Fly With Me, which is the most tedious quest in the game solely due to the second part of it where you have to go on a fetch quest for a bunch of shit nobody cares about and none of it is challenging or exciting. The payoff is also stupid, ghouls launching off into space feels like a quest straight from Fallout 3 or even 4, hell it feels like a Wild Wasteland encounter. Only the first part, which is dealing with the Nightkin and Feral Ghouls, is of any interest. Come Fly With Me was the very first quest designed and you can definitely tell, it isn't structured or coded in properly and there is a lot of weird quirks with it since the devs weren't adept with GECK yet, in fact this was their first learning experience with it.

Alternatively, the second most tedious quest is the one where you have to get Followers a steady shipment of medicine, which is just going from Old Mormon Fort to Atomic Wrangler, no challenge or skill checks needed, just tedium. This one IS boring even with Open Freeside mod, let alone without it. I don't know why you chose Bye Bye Love, or "By By Love" specifically. At least that one has an interesting premise.

Why am I not surprised a retarded 38 year old coomer like you has zero reflexes and needs to constantly reload the game to avoid having random NPCs killed? You must be one of those DSP types.

Doesn't Van Buren have ghouls in space? Or at the very least a space station that the player character has to go to?
It really seems to fit in with the Obsidian style of quests and story telling.

Considering the NPCs you want to protect have little in the way of armor, it's kind of hard not to, especially if you have a certain kind of build that makes you slow.

It was designed before they had to split each section of The Strip into separately loaded areas because of PS3 limitations. And they obviously didn't bother to change it or play test it afterwards. Come Fly With Me is another tedious slog of a quest that requires a ton of backtracking and wandering. And the quest rewards, dialog choices, and overall outcomes for those quests don't contain enough variety to make them not overly boring after just a few playthroughs.

A lot of side quests suffer because of this. Not just in New Vegas but in lots of RPGs. In older Final Fantasy or JRPGs you would have these rare items that often required absurd amounts of dull, uninteresting, and repetitive gameplay. Spending time killing the same random encounter hundreds of times to get a random chance for a good drop (the Diablo II format). Or dodging lighting bolts for hours to unlock the next tier of weapons (Final Fantasy X).

A lot of Fallout 3 and New Vegas side quests only differ in the very end where you can accept caps or karma as a reward. Which is not exactly engaging gameplay the second time around when you've seen everything. It's why I always took a long break between playthroughs of New Vegas.

To be fair, I will take boring quest outcomes over something stupid and bethesda coded such as "do you want to blow up an atomic bomb for no reason or not?". We both agree Come Fly With Me is a tedious slog quest(which is why it's best to kill the cultist ghouls and just go in there for stealth boys) but at least the premise and the dungeon aren't too bad, making it palatable for repeat playthrus.

I will play Bethesda's Advocate here and say that it's perfectly reasonable for Burke to be a cagey (and evil) bastard, but there should have been an option to get him to spill the goods, similar to how you can just fuck him over with Black Widow.
Sadly, Bethesda. Which is a shame because i quite like Tenpenny Tower and how they actually fucking react to you doing the quests tied to it or not, even if they're not exactly a central location.
