Garry's always been a dumb cunt but considering Ole FP was wannabe SomethingAwful, he's done so much better than what I expected of becoming diet lowtax. Even if that s&box game flops he's at least tried something different and moving on from how FP was at its height of popularity.

Been said already but I can't feel sympathy for Garry since his kind are partially responsible for creating these dipshits. Always amusing to see the users of a community turn on their (former) leader though.

Nah the reality is that a lot of the users who used to be chill completely lost their minds over the last 10 years and trooned out. Can't really blame Garry for that when it was fine throughout 2004-2014. By the end of that, the forum was already mostly in the hands of the moderators, and not something Garry cared about that much anymore.

This same effect happened across the entire internet. Troll's remorse, trying to scrub their "chuddy past", etc. It's the first generation to have undergone this transformation and I certainly could never have predicted this phenomenon back then.
 
Garry was always a retard with a big ego. This nontroversy is a perfect example of his pettiness and need to have the last word. Knockout is a cesspool of the worst kind of tranny cultist who just worsen each other's mental issues like a pastel colored resonance cascade. Even those who were not in the cult and were relatively normal on Facepunch, twisted and mutated into freaks beyond recognition. Anyone sane left the place a long time ago.

And yet, Garry, despite being a well-off and well recognized game dev, still feels compelled to stick his nose in that shithole. You could argue that he is "just trolling them". But no, no he's not.
There is a sick kinship between Garry and the tranny. They both crave attention. I wonder why a community once helmed by a man like that spawned so many attention hungry and permanently online troons? Truly a mystery.

you can't really compare a bunch of self-hating troons to someone who makes a fuckton of money and pays an equally large amount of taxes - as mismanaged as taxes are, he is singlehandedly a bigger contribution to society in that regard than the entirety of knockout posters

I mean, I'm not gonna argue Garry doesn't have fuck-you money--he does--but I also observed him firsthand enough back on Facepunch to know that he is indeed a dipshit manchild. Facepunch as a forum died as much from him being unable to run a community of that size as it was the community itself becoming untenable. Garry was very much not a good leader, at least not good enough to wrangle that pit of voles.
 
I have never met anyone in real life unable to handle moderate constructive criticism like garry newman.
