There's no disagree ratings because ratings that go against the groupthink are grounds for banning. You used to get banned on Facepunch for caring about ratings, that needs to come back big time.

I don't know man, the way you used to get banned for caring about ratings was likewise making the groupthink unquestionable. The assumption being among the lines of 'vox dei vox populi' so whatever rating you got was fair, end of story. But I remember FP used to punish me in the supposed golden age for going against the liberal bias and look where FP is now.

In the FP eara, the moratorium on caring about ratings was because people would derail entire threads because they got a negative rating, so threads were getting hard to stay on topic. On KO, however, the ratings issue is that "nobody should thing this is funny or disagree with this POV, period because it makes this space less safe".

One was to keep the forums on topic, the other is to protect feelings.

I do genuinely feel sorry for these people on a human level, but at the same time they often bring it on themselves. They think the world is all sunshine & rainbows and that everyone will accept them for who they are. Like in a Disney movie. But the real world simply isn't like that and by the time they realise it's already too late. There's a reason why most people lay low and try not to stick out, because of this exact scenario. Trying to make everyone around you, strangers included, treat you in a very specific way is just a recipe for disaster.
