I don't have any other interests in this website besides this thread, so the downtime didn't bother me at all.

However, the fact that the majority of KO is still clueless on why a lot of ex-FP/KO members choose to come here and shit on them is a reminder why mental retardation and arrogance is a hilarious combination. Given the fact that they still refuse to take responsibility for the amount of people they pissed off, the obvious reaction would be to just categorize us all as nazis and brush off any criticisms.

Like I said, the downtime didn't bother me at all - at best it didn't allow me to laugh at KO's retardation for a few days. My personal grudge was over when they decided to shoot themselves in the foot by permabanning UJ.

I'm not here to ridicule any current KO user or even one clique. I don't interact with that forum beyond viewing screencaps here. I do not have the time or inclination to troll, harass, or in any other way bother the users there.
I'm here because I was sad at how things were going, felt they were going to get worse and, beyond the sadness now, I just check this thread for periodic updates on how truly far gone that forum has become, as a reminder.

It was never out of spite or hatred. It was out of a certain lament; as funny as that sounds, to lament for a forum of all things.
But FP did have a certain culture that has now given way to a site that I, had you shown it to me a decade ago as someone just wanting to download TF2 mods, could not recognize.

I come to KF for news and to read about games I like. The quality of discussion is good here.
On KO I often had to post because I felt my point of view was not touched on. Here I find a far greater diversity of viewpoints, so much so that I rarely have to chime in, the discussions are just that much more well rounded.
KO's claim to fame lately, a welcoming place for discussion (mostly of games) has a problems with plurality/diversity of opinions, even with non-political topics.

From what I've seen, no one in this thread "trolls" or "harasses" them. But KO users still contend there is a campaign of hate against them.
To me this indicates that even just pointing out how silly they are, on a completely different site, is harassment in their minds. Any dissention or lamentation is automatically trolling.

And that is KO's culture now. Wrong points of view, even those unexpressed or just unseen on another site, are not permitted.

I was around FP forums in 2010. Anyone remember that edgy punk guy from the 'pics of you' threads? He had god awful tattoos. The only one I remember was this surf nazis one from some movie. Had Nazi memorabilia and would wear gas masks. Might have been swedish, I'm not sure.

Remembering facepunch from way back then and seeing the KO forum now is pretty disheartening. FP forums had lots of nice posters transitioning from teenagers to young adulthood. General Discussion section had normal kids posting about normal things going on in their normal lives. It certainly wasn't inundated with trannies and this overwhelming gay shit. Too bad Garry deleted FP forum and there is no archive. Just seeing the difference between thread topics from then and comparing them with KO thread topics now would be a trip.

Anyways just nostalgia tripping. If any of you remember some things from way back then in 2010 or around those time I'd appreciate if you would share your memories. Good times.

p.s my apologies from derailing the thread from current happenings.
