It's not much of a cult, just yet another of many internet cliques, except this one is wearing FP's corpse.
I mean, every website is a safe space in its own way, with its own internal rules, groups and taboos, and I'm sure KF is no different. And that's ok, it's part of being in a community.
What drives me crazy though is how blatant the double standards are, and how seemingly unaware of their hypocrisy they are. If you are "in", or you're just presenting safe opinions, you pretty much can do and say whatever you want (including advocating for actual violence... as long as it's in minecraft 😇), while everyone else that presents a conflicting opinion can get banned for the dumbest shit, with the hard limit of "bad faith arguing" if the conversation goes on too long.
It's the exact same behaviour that you see in your average extremist community. I guess I'm mostly mad about the fact that it took me way too long to notice it, blinded by FP nostalgia.
What a shame.

I'm a little upset it took me so long to find this place. Yeah, the posts may be more "unacceptable", but at least this place has right and left wing people.

As far as their standards, if they didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any standards at all. Anything to push their views and agenda.
 
It'll never not be funny that they had the audacity to make fun of resetera while being near indistinguishable from it.
