Please please please don't anybody send Chris anything!!! He does not need any more legos or gift cards to restaurants... There immediate needs have been taken care of with their insurance company and all of the stuff that was sent by us and others right after the fire. It seems Chris is just trying to look a gift horse in the mouth at this point! They need to start fending for themselves

As an aside, when Chris is sitting on his ass asking for the moon and the stars, he never ONCE mentions a PS4.

I don't get why everyone assumes he desperately wants a PS4. It's not backwards compatible, and he was extremely in love with his PStriple life, not sony in general. It's not like he'd insist on a sony TV set, over other brands, or something.
Of course, he'd take a free PS4, if you gave it to him, but otherwise, there are more important things on his list (hell, if the psquad is on his list at all).

Chris WAS eager to upgrade his PS1 to a PS2, and then his PS2 to a PS3. He loved his PSP. Didn't he even buy a Vita, even though it wasn't very impressive on the software front?
Maybe Chris isn't in love with Sony, but his track record shows him owning every major Sony console. For someone with Chris's brand fixation, it's a notable pattern.

Yeah, one of our friends recently floated a pretty sensible idea: the lego movie may be what kicked off his current obsession with legos. It seems like legos are actually the new PS3.

I've been saying since he posted that it was now his second favorite film ever that he obviously really, really, liked that Lego movie. Having not seen it myself, and not going to see it, I can't say what exactly struck so strong a chord in him from it, but I can guess; the plot that an average schmoe answers the hero's journey call and saves the world from evil, it's an allegory for your average tomgirl answering the lovequest call and saving his heartsweet from the ground up from the clucthes of some jerk, a very six in one, half a dozen in another type of tale that even an ignoramus like Chris can wholesale juxtapose over his own existence and draw parallels from or inspiration out of.
Then again, I was also convinced he'd do anything up to and including selling Barb off to clinical drug trial tests to rack up enough free cash to purchase that PS4 in month one of release, so I could admittedly be way off on my speculation on this also.
