I still say "content today for goodies tomorrow" is the oldest trick in the book as far as Chris is concerned and he probably wouldn't go for it.
But I do like the idea because I'm curious how Barb would react to him suddenly having a new source of funding that she can't interfere with. (... OR CAN SHE)
Material goods? Plus we'll just use a third party Chris can trust to ensure that the goods are there. Escrow.

Aren't B&N and Starbucks a little too high brow or adult oriented for Chris unlike McDonalds or Burger King with their indoor play areas?

Back when Borders was still barely functioning, there was a learning disabled guy hanging around the cafe begging people to buy him something, and saying, "I wish I had the money for that!"

Fuck. I probably just gave Chris an idea. oops

And if you guys are wondering, where does he get $1,000 to just throw away on legos? Well, remember that credit cards technically allow him to spend money he doesn't have (and has no plan for how he's gonna pay back, either).
Jesus. Jesus. Just the thought of doing something like that makes my stomach clench thinking about how fucked I would be trying to pay that off. But dumbtard Chrissy just keeps racking up debt like it's nothing.

Does Barb ever scream at him for maxing out credit cards and digging himself deeper into debt, I wonder, or does he just tell her that his adoring fans sent him all the shit he brings home?

I guess if Chrissy wants gift cards so badly, I could send him one for Bi-Mart. Sure it's a regional store on the west coast with no branches east of the Rockies, but just having the card should be good enough for him, right?

I know what gift I would like to give Chris, a brand new revised copy of his resume, and maybe a job to go with it. Is that horrible to say? Does that make me a Troll? I'm sorry if this is rude, and are trollish and horrible, I never meant for it to come across like that.

Was it only Bob that tried to monitor Chris' spending?

Heh, why would she care?

I don't know how he does it either. I just spent my last year paying back a good 10k because I was a fool with my money (plus student loans) and I never ever want to fall into that pit again. Isn't it like eight grand on the sonichu site for PSN games alone? Jesus. :alog:

Eventually the credit card companies will get the tugboat. Don't Chris and Barb pool their resources enough that that would affect her?

Pretty sure they do. So she OUGHT to care, though she may not because she figures that she'll be dead in a few years anyway and doesn't actually give enough of a fuck about Chris to worry about how he'll get on after she's gone. She's milked her disabled kid for everything she can at this point, I dont think she has enough fucks left to give about him anymore.

Can creditors garnish your social security income? I know they can garnish your other income, wages and earnings and stuff. But I don't know about SSDI. If they can, Chris and Barb are fucked.

I'll gladly buy him a few things from his lists if he burns down his fucking rental house, too.

There are thousands of people (me included) who deserve a job more than stupid Chris does.

That would honestly be an amazing gift to give to Chris. The problem is that he's a selfish prick who's thinks he's above working. He'd call you a troll for ruining his perfect resume and he would still be the same, stagnant lump of fat.

Oh, is that the case? That they can take the tugboat? Because then, yeah, she might care. Not sure what's going on with that situation.

Didn't say I was gonna buy him toys. I said maybe a gift card to food lion.
It'd be a nice thing to do, but I don't know. They're not wanting for anything. I'd be more likely to do something like that for Chris when he's in a situation where his problems are so bad he doesn't have the free time to sit around, blowing money he doesn't have on legos.

No, they can't. Only the feds can touch SSI or SSDI, and even then the ability to garnish is limited.

So the credit card companies are pretty much screwed. Unless they really like Legos.

Who knows, he might have a Mr.Gold squirreled away in his Lego hoard. I also hear the Pajama Emmet mini fig he stole from Best Buy can catch them a handsome sum.

Thanks, I didn't realize that.

There could still be a downside for Barb in that if Chris maxes out and ruins his credit for legos, that is money he can't borrow later and put into the pooled resources.
