Tumblr lesbians come from anime club memebers who saw Hentai and their cooter went ON FIRE so that means that it's okay to be gay. Which it is okay to be gay, but the problem is that you don't have to be obnoxiously about it. Tumblr lesbians claim that "OH BEING GAY IS HARD SO WE NEED TO BE LIKE THIS SO THE WHOLE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THAT WE'RE BEING GAY SO THAT WAY PEOPLE KNOW THAT BEING GAY IS HARD" but it's so fucking stupid. I just stop caring.

Ironically that character from the above post, Chloe, has a crush on a guy from the very start of the show.

It's very common for female characters that are canonly bisexual, as in, show interest in both men and women or are stated to be bi by the creators, to have their interest in men erased, be declared lesbians, and for anyone who points out they're bisexual to be attacked and called 'lesbophobes'. I've seen this done a lot by Life is Strange fans.

If y'all remember the Arthur discourse the op of that outofcontext was hardcore defending that Francine an 8 year old was a lesbian purely cause she's a tomboy. And I don't remember what character but they insisted that this 8-10 year old was pansexual or poly.

You are also a lesbo if you are a Disney princess that gets no love interest, not only that but an incest lesbian (Frozen)

More like because two white chicks kissing is too normie and mainstream. Being a lesbian alone isn't cool anymore, even most Stacys are open to it. It's not so much the diversity of it, than being even more unique a lesbian.

Hyperbolic jokes about cryptids and cats being gay isn't an example of militantly insisting a character is a lesbian though. Like the Babadook gay icon meme, no one seriously believed he was gay. Infact many of these posts that are meant to be satirical of the plethora of out-there queer headcanons.

This one is clearly satire. I've seen a bunch of SJWs get offended by these jokes because "gays aren't monsters!!!11"
 
If you limit this thread to just being about objects, you're not gonna find a lot of genuine content. A lot of this shit is just amounted to bad humor, satire, and tumblr memes. It's a lame running gag, but a gag nonetheless.
