I heard a song of hers on the radio and thought it sounded like something from 10 years ago. The fact that it was titled good 4 u a la sk8r boy reinforced that theory, but i guess she's new.
Listened to the full album, all about being upset a dude broke up with her for being crazy. It's pop. It's vapid. She's just another phase.

Do you like Olivia Rodrigo? Her early work was a little too Disney for my tastes, but when Driver's Licence came out in 2020, I think she really came into her own, commercially and artistically. The single has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the song a big boost. She's been compared to Billie Eilish, but I think Olivia has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
In 2021 Olivia released her debut album "Sour", her most accomplished album. I think her undisputed masterpiece is "Deja Vu", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the singer herself.

I'm having one of those times in life where you hear of something or someone for the first time, and then immediately after that you're hearing about that person or thing constantly. I just heard of this chick yesterday and now she's everywhere I look. I know she was in some controversy regarding plagiarism, and the claims seem to have some credibility, but you can't blame poor Olivia, she's just a husk. She probably didn't even hear the songs until they were already written and recorded using a computer generated and optimized version of her voice.

She was accused of ripping off Hole's album cover. I would bet money she has never even heard of hole, but I'm sure the fags throwing her album and it's marketing together have. They are pretty similar:
