Happy page 2009. Apparently, according to Alex from some long forgotten message on the YanSim wordpress, '09 was the year that Alex started streaming for the first time.
Go to Alex's Twitch page, and you'll find that eleven year old habits are hard to kick. Especially for a dev who would rather stream games and collect his shekels than actually code a game.
I'm tempted to say "only if he spergs hard again" but lets be honest he's always on full sperg mode.
In actuality though, I think Alex is catching onto the Osana issue given his recent "Proper development on Osana has started" video a couple months back. I think if anything he's going to have a empty shell of an Osana with little-to-no real function in the game within the next couple years just to "silence the gremlins".
The last few weeks have been hilarious looking at Alex and DrApeis, but it doesn't even look like things will die down from here. There are actually a few things we can look forward to:
Official Osana release date announcement. Once he fucks up a release date he literally made a video about he is going to run very low on excuses.
Hate and Shame 2 / However Alex will call it. Once again Alex will artistically portray the evilness of gremlins and how they are responsible for everything.
The inevitable Loveletter fuckup. Fangames never last more than a few months and eventually there will be a breaking point, putting a climatic end to the trainwreck.
Osana gets released (maybe). If that happens the amount of effort he put into coding his game will become obvious to even his most braindead fans.
Of course there is also a chance Alex, being the exceptional person he is, will cause entirely new drama. Call me but things are looking good in my opinion.

SJWs are wild - it's a game about brutally murdering people for talking to your crush. You kidnap them, torture them, drive them to suicide, drive them to murder, poison them, socially ostracise them, drown them, electrocute them, fake their suicide - and if they implement all of Alex's elimination methods - sell them into sex slavery and sell photographs of their underwear.

But I'm not sure why you'd artificially ramp up the difficulty with a bullshit immortal bodyguard for a demo, though.
Surely it'd be better to just use a different rival if you're going to release a demo intended to be mid-way through the game that throws you into the fray.

All meme-ing aside though, Shortcake clearly can't draw men. The anatomy still looks really wonky and Senpai's general design still needs some work, but at least it's better than attempting to parody Harem Anime Protagonist #1,004. I'm just hoping that all this chatter about Shortcake not being LL's official artist is true because Seekndestroy is clearly the better option; I absolutely adore her interpretations of Minami and her dear Senpai.
By the way, has his name been announced yet? Because if it hasn't, then based off of how his design (currently) looks, I've got a pretty good name for him.
I think the name Akira Morimoto (盛本 輝) would be a pretty good name for him. "輝" means "to shine", which reflects how confident he is. "盛本" together means "popular, enthusiastic, prosper/flourish, to serve/heap up (food) + book/origin", because I imagine that he'll be a very popular student who Minami desperately wants to be with.

Oh no, I dont believe the lying prick for a single second. I just think the chance he'll half-assedly include her, not even that, and go "look guys! shes in! you can all go home!" is fairly notable
These points likely depend entirely on whether or not the deal with 505 Games that we saw in the leaked emails ended up going through. I'd imagine that after the hack there was a wave of spergs emailing them with subjects like "look at all of the horrible things yanderedev has done!". The question is whether or not enough red flags were raised to take another look at the potential deal and possibly renegotiate terms, or just walk away entirely.
If the deal was cancelled, then we're never going to see Osana, ever. If the deal was signed, then it's rather hard to predict what will happen. It's a toss up between Alex ignoring a deadline he would be required (likely by contract) to meet then having another public falling out with a company that's supposed to right the already sunken ship and Alex eventually pushing Osana out the front door only to have a KickStarter with a rather lackluster showing, leaving further "development" very much in doubt but the Patreon sticking around collecting from the gullible.
