It'd probably be even more disasterous than that. Especially for how brainwashed and autistic his fanbase it.
While a horrible game in its own right, one of the reason Hdtf got so much shit because it attaches itself to the HL universe, a beloved game series. Does anyone even give a shit about YS anymore other than its fanbase and us?

"The player is not discouraged from killing them"

Yea, it's not like you're going to get a cliche-Undertale "bad ending" if you use lethal eliminations or anything!

OH WAIT
Well you're a terrible person doing terrible things, it's pretty much what you deserve. It'll be hilarious if the murder ending is the same as Yandere School where the girl got to fuck her senpai and got away scot-free. The fanbase will explode.

But where dealing with autism levels the which are immeasurable in power. If people criticize how shitty it is and the fact that theres already an unstable fanbase, they will be assblasted so much you could build a reactor around them and power an entire class 1 civilization.

It's been over three years, and I don't understand how his fan base can clap him on the back and say that he made so much progress in the game. If he's actually been working on the game for this amount of time and not streaming, then the following would not be true:
  1. Students still do not react to blood on the floor
  2. The delinquents are still not properly in the game like other students, they just stand around and do nothing
  3. OSANA IS STILL NOT IN THE FUCKING GAME
  4. Placeholder models are still being used, same with placeholder names
  5. The frame-rate is still atrocious (Once, I managed to get the game to a FPS of 1, that's fucking sad)
  6. The games physics are also atrocious. (You can still kill people through walls, students still get stuck twirling, dead bodies start spazzing out, etc.)
  7. Did I mention that this orange haired bitch named Osana isn't in the game yet?
  8. You still cannot win the game, no matter what. Can it even be considered a game if there aren't conditions in which you win or lose? (The opposite of Big Riggs where "you're winner" always.)
  9. The school population is abnormally low.
  10. Remember the girl with the twin-tails named Osana?
  11. Some of the animations are absolute garbage.
  12. Having two dudes talk about anime doesn't make the school lively, really. The characters in this are about as empty as Myspace; a graveyard has more life than the school in YS.
  13. Bloody footprints are still broken and have been broken for years.
  14. There are still no alternatives to panty shots.
  15. Once again, the first fucking rival, Osana, is not in the game. She was supposed to be in two years ago...
Did I miss anything? Honestly, the fan base would pat him on the back and praise his progress if he just put another chair into the game. If indie developers can make an entire game in the amount of time that Alex has been working on this train wreck, then it's fair to say that he has had plenty of time to fix any of these problems in the time he's been supposedly "working on the game". I cannot see this game getting released ever at the rate it's going, especially by it's aimed date of release in 2019.

That's the level of work he does, but then in his blog posts he words it in a way that sounds fancy to the average yanfan, like:
  • Added decorative assets to the game to improve the scenery and atmosphere of the school
Then knowing how this game goes the next build notes would probably be like:
  • Fixed bug where the chair would spawn 500 students and crash the game

Accurate.

For what I have seen, though, some fans like the game BECAUSE of the glitchy mechanics and the flapping bodies. Essentially treating it as a meme game.

YanDev may not want his 'game' to be memetic, but honestly, with the nonexistent amount of work he puts in it...

Alex is going to push the release date to 2021 if he hasn't already. Then after that he's gonna give some bullshit like "When it's ready".
And when Alex started his new half-assed implementation of the council is when I think Osana pretty much "died".

If you're going to be late, at least archive that link.

'When it's ready' translates to: "The release date of the game depends how long those stupid hardware people can catch up to my intellectual brilliance so that at least 64 petabytes of main memory is the norm; then my measly 8gb usage is like a godsend. HAH, that'll finally show em' kiwis how efficient my masterpiece game is!"

Let's look at all of the features YandereDev added from January 2017 to now.

1. Osana's rejection sequence (albeit poorly)
2. Student Council
3. Bullies
4. A bunch of small, sprinkled crap.

That's not a lot of work for 27 months, is it?

Wow, by now he should have more than a rejection method for Osana.
Like I don't know, actually having her in the game?

Emphasis on the word "should".

How Eva can finish Yandere Simulator quickly

Step 1: The Survey
-Eva needs to search Tumblr and Deviantart for the most talented Yandere Simulator fans.
When he finds one, he needs to send them a private message asking to be a part of a secret group.
He needs sixty people.

Step 2: The Separation
-Eva needs to separate the group into three subgroups of 20 each: The Writers, The Makers, and the Conceptualizers. Writers will think of elimination methods and story paths for each rival. Conceptualizers will draft and create 2D artwork and sound effects. Makers will create 3D models and provide pseudocode for Eva.

Step 3: The Granfaloon
-Eva needs to play the subgroups against one another. This will cause them all to work harder.

Step 4: Program
-Eva programs.
