Your adamant refusal to move past placeholders and first drafts despite being four years in tells us that much. Normally devs can salvage a learning experience from projects like these, but as Lunar Scythe has shown your ego won't even let you do that. You pretty much improve by doing three things when coding: Solving problems in novel ways (eg: not packages or copy pasting the entire thing from a book or stack overflow), debugging and refactoring. All of these involve serious thought about why the program is doing what it it’s doing. Often this pushes you towards learning new things about the language/system you’re writing for (and/or trig. You learn ALL the trig. Trig is wonderful) in order to figure out how to correctly solve the problem.

When he says ‘the last 4 years are a waste’ he may actually be right.

Also, the one-man developer thing is totally doable if he’s got an art team. The problem is him absolutely refusing to do any of the not-fun parts like spending a week implementing a hierarchy tree for his core classes or figuring out how the hell items are going to work.

Items in particular stick out to me because due to how the code is structured there's no real way for Yandere-chan and the students to use items in the same ways, eg NPC students will never be able to pick up and interact with the same objects the player can unless Alex copypastes a hell of a lot of code for every single item and/or comes up with some completely novel form of dumb bullshit to enable code reuse.

So I was bored and decided to read the Tvtropes page for Troubled Production to see if YS is on there. There was:

• Money troubles were apparent, as the $5,000 a month from Patreon that YandereDev received wasn't enough to hire volunteer animators or riggers who were competent (at least, not while also paying voice actors and 3D modelers). This in turn made implementing Rival-chan excessively difficult, who was incompatible with the animation rigs YandereDev currently had.

Of course this is Tvtropes, take it with an extreme grain of salt. What do you guys think of this?

tl;dr: It's start like a normal recomendation but then one guy only cares about the hot chicks while the other praises the 2deep4you story and le trope subversion/deconstruction. Wow you too? I thought that was my half broken headset not catching one side of the sound but you're right, Haruto is talking low. I searched another video and it happened the same thing but then i found another and it sounded okay.

Sota somehow sounds lower than before, i dont know exactly what's the problem, the only real difference is the camera position so my only guess is that if you leave the camera in a certain angle you you totally fuck the 3D audio effect and someone who is right next to you makes no sound.

Eva still can't write a script or natural dialogue to save his life. Even with the voice actors trying to make it sound as natural as possible it still sounds like it was scripted by a robot.

This guys voice actor is the first one that doesn't make me wanna mute the video and is actually somewhat pleasant to listen to. The blonde guy on the other hand, oh boy.

Well, we all know that Eva doesn't go outside and actually talk to other people, and it really shows with the dialogue he writes in the game. It's a lot easier to write dialogue when you actually interact with other people. Maybe if he went out and interacted with other people, he'd know how to write a normal conversation and better characters for that matter. Not to be an asshole or anything, but writers do tend to write about what they know and understand, and Yan-sim really shows Alex's lack of social experience and understanding of other people.

That would'nt be a problem if the dialogue wasn't so garbage in the first place. I doubt Alex even directs voice actors outside of maybe Ayano's and Midori's. Almost every other character has some sort of awkward delivery, as if they only recorded one take and sent it to Alex who is too lazy to bother asking another one.

This might be off-topic, but I recalled that even in the YanSim community, they shipped them as "Ketchup-san/Mustard-San"
