I don't think anyone is destined to be an anorexic or a deathfat from birth. Some people are born with the requisite brain circuitry, sure, but it doesn't get turned on unless your environment pushes the right buttons. I'm less interested in the primordial sludge of the Cooney parents' DNA and more interested in their household dynamics.
And lack of self-awareness is the gunpowder that propels the bullet forward.I've heard it said that nature loads the gun, nurture fires the bullet. Like you, I don't doubt that we're looking at some misfiring brains, but there has got to be something profoundly wrong in that household.
I offer New Haven pizza as a counterpoint.Connecticut is hands down the worst state and it's not even remotely close. The entire state is an impossible-to-navigate suburb of NYC without any of its culture, food, or really anything interesting whatsoever. An entire state built on wealth-hoarding and pharmaceutical addiction.
I'd rather have a deathfat as a daughter rather then a skelly, but that's because a deathfat's real problem is binging on ultra-processed junk, rather then healthy stuff. For those volume eaters, they would likely eat a ton of healthy food that has been cooked right and made quite tasty. For a a skelly, they'd resist eating and there's a risk they'd even purge which is gross and wasteful and frustrating, no matter what food it is most likely.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9vmQ6qPLm68I hope she gets launched into the sky by her brother on a water trampoline and disappears into a flash in the sky like she’s in Smash or Pokemon. Meanwhile her brother rolls off the airbag and sinks to the bottom like a bowling ball.
While disordered eating can be a genetic thing, an eating disorder specifically isn't really genetically induced. Any statistic that alleges "eating disorders run in the bloodline" are moreso a misclassifying claim born from the fact that disordered parents teach / instill these things to their kids- take look at any "almond moms" or how fat whale mothers typically either always have a fat whale kid, or an anorexic kid (in this case both), and usually nothing constituting a 'normal' kid. If you have kids in your house and you're constantly letting them see you stuff your face and obsess about the scale and bitch about your weight and caloric intake, they will imprint on this, and you will gets kids who develop an eating disorder in their early teens and then struggle on and off with it for multiple years into their adult lives.I don't doubt that we're looking at some misfiring brains, but there has got to be something profoundly wrong in that household.
Just compare their calves, wow…:
It's true when she was able to respond to therapy, but by now it's a death sentence. Once your body has digested all your muscles, you can't get those back. Deathfats usually die younger than most adults but they carry on into their ~50s before having a fatal heart attack. The unfortunate case as in anorexia and also obesity kills: the deathfats that have worn their heart out from being super obese, it doesn't matter if they recover they still get that heart attack. So I guess it's kind of moot but usually anorexia kills soonerI think it's actually easier to fix binge eating disorder than anorexia, because almost 3/4 of America struggles with food addiction of some kind. If you're trying to lose weight, there's so much help and so many resources available. Anorexia, though? You're starving in the land of the mobility scooter and the home of the Big Mac. What's wrong with you? People are dismissive of the idea that weight gain is as difficult for some people as weight loss is for others (and that's even when you don't have anorexia-related weight problems). On top of that, anorexics often have other mental health problems (personality disorders, PTSD, autism, OCD) that interact with the anorexia and make it even harder to treat. It's the single most deadly mental illness.
I would be far less embarrassed to be seen with Eugenia, but I'd rather Amber as a daughter because it's less likely she'll die. I don't know if Amber can be fixed, but food addiction is a much simpler psychological mechanism than the willingness to starve yourself to death so you don't have to give up an ounce of control.
Yes and no. Almost no deathfat gets the size of Chip or Amber or Chantal just off food alone- they're all also soda or sugar coffee addicts who drink half or more than half their calories. Cases or bottles of soda can get expensive, but you can also walk into any gas station and buy a $1.25 big gulp or get just get a huge soda with your fast food meal. But can you imagine how expensive it gets to feed a deathfat? I can't fathom how poor people manage to get this big. It's actually insane when you think about it. Feels like most poor biggies are only poor because they spend so much money in food.
Fair enough. I sometimes forget how large portion sizes can get in America.Yes and no. That's why Chantal never lost weight in Syria, she did that grocery store haul from the"fancy" store shortly after she arrived and showed off Pepsi and I think Mountain Dew.
They do drink vats of sugar drinks but fast food seems to be the final boss of morbid obesity. You almost never see a death fat that isn’t also a fast food addict.Yes and no. Almost no deathfat gets the size of Chip or Amber or Chantal just off food alone-
