That sounds really tame to me. People aren't screaming at each other at the top of their lungs. You don't hear objects being thrown or furniture being smashed. You don't hear the thud of a baseball bat hitting flesh. Very tame. That wouldn't have even made me hide in the closet as a kid.

Those aren't bug bites. Those aren't bedbug bites either. Those look like pinch marks more than blunt force marks. Either way, it's still sad and disgusting but pinching to cause broken skin like that is definitely one of those things that people who have a lot more wrong in the head do. Hitting can be an impulsive move but pinching is a conscious effort. If he did do something to her in that neighborhood of violence, it means he knows what he's doing and doesn't care.
No normal adult man reacts like this, the context does not matter. If you think otherwise you really need to consider getting help/meds for your mental problems. This shit is far outside the behavior of a healthy person, no matter the circumstance.
