AFAIK it was Hasan and his retarded fans who first started calling him a Houthi pirate (which is considered a terrorist organization by the USA). Remember TimHOUTHI Chalamet?
Yemen is anything but a free country, it's a huge mess with an overly long civil war that devastated one of the most beautiful country in the arab penninsula, which war is sponsored by all the oil countries in the region. Houthis did enough to consider them a terrorist group outside of the US too. The image where the ship was taken is also in the territory controlled by the Houthis. Although whether the kid is a Houthi or not is questionable, but the kid did recited and shared content on his now deleted insta profile that can prove atleast he was a Houthi sympathizer.
It was a dumb thing from Hasan to promote this guy and gave good ammo to his detractors to astroturf it. If Rashid(?) has merit to sue Ethan Klein, than I'm all for it. I'm neither on the side of anyone, if it's possible the best scenario would be all of these LA snakes should lose.

Tim-Houthi Chalamet may have originated elsewhere, but yeah, Hasan and his community absolutely did call him a Houthi until they realized it was bad optics and then suddenly that was actually just anti-Arab racism.
For example, hyping up the interview Hasan got a chat from a viewer asking if he was really going to interview a "Houthi pirate". Hasan responded something like, "hell yeah, brother, we do actual journalism here".
During the "interview" (JO sesh) after finding out that he knew about One Piece, Hasan said, "We think the Houthis, ansarullah, is doing what Luffy would do." Then they start calling him Luffy.
I believe that the Content Nuke included some tweets where he calls himself a Houthi.
To be clear, I do not believe that Rashed was a Houthi (though at this point I would be surprised to find out that no Houthis had reached out to him), I think he is a poseur. But anyone who pretends that it's not just rational to believe that the guy who has been selling himself as a Houthi for the last few years is actually a Houthi is actually too retarded to live. Of course, this is the sort of person who makes up Hasan's community and apparently the kind of person at least one KF moderator is.
There's definitely some, but I think some idiots just have it confused that mocking a retard on one side, doesn't mean supporting the other.

Finally got around to watching the entire thing. Its very well researched with a multitude of clips supporting every argument, an immense effort. However I feel the message the video is trying to illustrate got a bit lost in the 4 hour runtime. Around the halfway mark I kinda forgot this was a video involving Hasan at all, it felt more like a video outlining legitimate criticisms of Ethan and the people who choose to keep a blind eye to them for whatever reason. Ironic since most people in the thread seem to think the video is purely a Hasan apologist piece.
Personally I think this video could be more focused on purely Ethan/Hasan and use a lot less runtime. There is sophistication in backing every single claim up with clips (thanks filmot) but there is also elegance in keeping it simple knowing every claim can be backed up if needed.
Anyway, hope to see more from this guy in the future.

he was larping as a houthi by visiting the galaxy leader which was turned into a tourist attraction by the houthis and posting videos there. he was also reposting random videos he saw online pretending the houthis were taking khat (common drug in yemen) with hostages, people probably thought he was taking these videos at the time:
those videos went viral on western social media and people started calling him timhouthi chalamet because of his looks. this lead to hasan interviewing him because he saw him going viral on x and he supported the red sea blockade. at the time of the interview they werent designated as a terrorist org by the US because biden took them off in 2021.

Before the usual suspects chime in, it doesn't really matter who Ethan is targeting. "There's no bad tactics, only bad targets" is a shortsighted position. Ethan is targeting people who say mean things about Ethan, that's all there is to it. Many of these people are awful and established lolcows in their own right, and they've done very stupid things that have left themselves open to the lawfare Ethan practices. But it's purely because they are saying bad things about him.
Right now he's laser focused on Hasan and his ilk, but not because he's based. It's because he thought Hasan was cool and his friend and who he wanted to be ("hot" popular leftist with a big audience, hence the "psychosexual obsession" accusations). Hasan refused to budge on his position on Israel because of course he didn't, it's Hasan. Therefore Hasan, iDubbz etc. get all his ire as they "betrayed" him. Destiny got some of his ire when Destiny made actual death threats towards Hasan, which "ruined" his "flawless victory" (victim narrative).
Ethan is a petty, vindictive man who lashes out at anyone who makes him feel inadequate. If this thread wasn't so consistently derailed and actually did just mock him for being a lolcow, he could easily turn into the next Vordrak. He is no friend to the farms, any more than Tommy Tooter would be if he started up a vendetta against Kevin Gibes.

They didn't go after his kids. He doesn't know who "went after his kids", but as has repeatedly been mentioned in this thread, he got CPS called on him because he broadcast to thousands a storytime that his child got sick with giardia from dog shit. It's fully possible that was a good Samaritan showing genuine concern. CPS would not have been called on Ethan if Ethan hadn't broadcast an outright concerning story that he later walked back.
