Kavanaugh is suing for damages, I believe for defamation. The California anti-SLAPP statute (which is similar to the one in Texas brought down Vic's lawsuit) is very strong, but Kavanaugh has met the burden of evidence to proceed. Klein is now in an expensive phase of proceedings where he must actually argue the facts of the case, and is on the hook for a lot of money.

It also references statements that Ethan has made on his H3 podcast after the lawsuit was initiated and that he could incur additional damages every time a knowingly false statement was made on H3. From what his fans are saying, he has reiterated his claims dozens of times.

Ethan's response has been to insult the judge as a "crusty old fuck" and say he's appealing the decision.

If this was just over the website, and the website had a poll rather than a "statement" and "comprehensive analysis," this would be a bunch of nothing. Ethan needs to stop going overkill all the time.

Edit; I guess it goes to show just how much stuff changed over time. If you wanted to be petty about someone back in the day, you'd just make a little blog page or website with the guy's photo and a poll or something, "Does he look like Hervey Weinstein?" But in this day and age, nobody can just leave it at that. They have to put so much effort into being petty about someone that even if you share the dude's ire about the subject of the website, you hate the dude more for being so annoying about it.

It's made more hilarious because California has one of the hardest Anti-SLAPP motions in the country. It's the equivalent of drowning with a full tank of air. An achievement. I had to look this up, because Null, god bless is 128 gbs of RAM at %90 capacity, didn't mention the reason the first part of the suit Ryan filed was for: a copy right dispute under the Triller company Ryan had a stake in due to Ethan using footage of the Jake Paul vs Ben Araskin fight without permission. Ethan proceeded to then mock the shit out Ryan with the site he said up, so Ryan refocused the lawsuit into a defamation suit against Ethan, which Philly D, god bless, but fuck off, documented.

As you observe it's not fashion ugly. It's trying (and failing) to be skatewear ugly without having any links to skate culture. Think brands like Palace or Stüssy - a lot of weird intense designs that people buy it because they want to signal they're into Brand (Supreme is the pinnacle of this).

Some of their less autistic stuff is fine. Not to my taste, but it successfully achieves what it's going for - basic raglan hoodies, track pants with unobtrusive branding, quilted chore jackets. Some of the designers at Teddy Fresh are capable of producing sensible staples, and if it was on a rack in Selfridges, people would pick it up and buy it (based on look, can't speak to quality). But if you're going to drop $100 on a pair of sweatpants without thinking about it, you're not going to seek out TeddyFresh. Despite their high profile collabs they just don't have much market penetration.

I've never encountered anyone wearing it, and all the people who post about it seem to only follow it because they're fans of Ethan. TeddyFresh is essentially just H3 merch.

Additionally Hila wears all the most outlandish pieces that only people with H3 as their special interest would purchase. Also for some of their more cohesive designs, it's been proven Hila ripped off other designers or stole knitting patterns from the 80s. Right now they've got a red label collection on their website which is clearly aping Supreme:

Hila was never going to be a great beauty, but if she dressed tastefully and didn't do ludicrously stupid things to her hair she would be OK. Like if you were picking up the kids from nursery and she turned up with coiffed natural brunette hair and a nice dress or sensible separates, you'd maybe give her a second glance and think "not bad".

But between Ethan, TeddyFresh and her continual murder of Palestinian children, that's off the table.

Pretty sure telling people to bombard google searches and websites with bad reviews about Kavanaugh so they come up first when google searching him is literally the definition of "poisoning the SEO." The legal implications would probably fall under the same category as defamation/libel, but I wouldn't be too sure about that.

A law person can feel free to correct me, but if a defamation lawsuit makes it past the anti-slaap, don't most defending attornies start pushing their client to settle? I'm pretty sure a full fledged defense of this lawsuit will cost far north of 100k.
