One of the biggest issues with Hasan is that he thinks (or acts like) the terrorists he supports are on the same mental wavelength, as if they care as much about the moral highground as he does, which just isn't reality.
The Houthis pirate, kidnap, extort and murder people for money. They do not have any feasible expectation of destroying Israel or the American hegemony, they want to profit. They are not the noble Star Wars resistance heroes that Hasan and all his orbiters want to pretend they are. They're poor and want to make money. There's an ideological spin when it comes to religion, but ultimately they're more akin to Somali pirates. The point is profit. Doing shit logically or carefully would net less profit.
